KBShimmer un-Staple – PPU May 2018
I fell off the wagon in the last month or so and have been overspending which completely messed up my budget. I feel pretty bad about it–enough that I skipped PPU in April. I had so many polishes on my want list that I knew if I bought one, I would buy them all so I had to lay low for those few days until I made it past the debilitating temptation. Well, I know I will not be that lucky in May because I already have a few polishes on my list that I refuse to pass on. I even have a list going for some of my co-workers! For May, the theme is the 90’s so you know it’s going to be good! KBShimmer has a ridiculously fun and gorgeous polish planned inspired by the movie Office Space. Zoya Sunshine Summer 2018 Collection
Hi friends! I hope that you’re all doing well. Things have been a little slow on the blogging side because I’ve had a bunch of stuff going on. I haven’t been as active in doing nail stuff because of it, but I definitely won’t fall off the face of the earth again. On Friday I received a huge package that contained the Zoya Sunshine Summer 2018 Collection, and I was excited to try them out. Hello, hello! Can you believe it’s already the first week of April? Here in he states, we are very lucky to have so many mainstream and indie brands that are easily accessible. Drip Marble Nails
I know hat I’ve said that I am going to try to incorporate more nail art into my posts, but it’s so hard when you’re a nail art dunce like me. I can paint my nails with my eyes closed, but when it comes to even the simplest of nail art techniques, I have to practice and practice and then practice some more. While I have seen drip marble nails all over the interwebs, I have never actually attempted the technique myself. Sally Hansen Color Filters Top Coats
One of the best ways to transform a polish is by using a specialty top coat or by layering it with an interesting sheer polish. OPI Man Of La Mancha anyone? Recently, I got some information regarding the Sally Hansen Color Filters top coats, and I decided to try two of them out. As with all top coats, the base color that you use will determine the end look; darker colors definitely pop. The top coats come in three different formulas: Diffuse, Smoulder and Strobe. KBShimmer Fig-Get About It
I made it through the weekend, and I survived Saturday at Chuck E. Cheese’s with my brats. Jonas was on his best behavior for a while, but it seems that he gets very shy when he is the center of attention. When we started singing to him so he could blow out his candles, he started crying! I think he just felt overwhelmed with all of the attention because he got over it fairly quickly once we moved on. He was also crazy scared of Chuck E. Cheese and refused to touch him when he came out for the birthday dance. It was pretty funny, and I got plenty of pictures and videos. Besides that, I didn’t have too much going on this weekend and spent a couple of hours swatching a few polishes. As you may recall, last week KBShimmer announced their rebranding. I think it’s gorgeous and am so happy that the polishes come in boxes now–they have such a luxe feel to them. I was able to pick out a few polishes from the core collection to share with you since they are now all rebranded in the new bottles. The shade I have for you today is KBShimmer Fig-Get About it.
