Heeeeeeeeeeeyyy! These last two weeks have been a little busy for me as I get ready for some major life changes. I love matte nails but I hate matte nail polish…does that even make sense? I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with matte nail polish because I love the way it looks, but I hate how clumpy and uneven most matte nail polishes end up looking. So what is the solution? A matte top coat, of course! Over the years I have tried TONS of matte top coats and today I am going to share with you the latest one that I have tried. As soon I saw the name of this collection, I giggled a little. Yes, I know that I’m not 13 years old, but it made me think of a bunch of NSFW Polish names like Illamasqua Load and Sinful Colors Beau Khaki. Considering that I love wearing bright and loud colors regularly, it may surprise you to hear that I also very much enjoy soft colors. I don’t wear them as often, but I absolutely enjoy a nice palate cleanser for my nails. On Thursday I stopped by one of my favorite nail supply stores and I was super excited to see that they had the OPI Always Bare For You Collection which will serve as the Soft Shades for 2019. Are there works of art that move you? I feel so lucky that there are so many paintings, sculptures and novels that entrance me and make me believe in a higher power because surely the artist was God-touched to have created such a masterpiece. One of my favorite paintings by Botticelli is The Birth of Venus and I can confirm that the first time I saw it in person, I stood there in awe for a good 30 minutes. Hello friends! I am finally back after almost 3 weeks of being sick. I felt ridiculous being sick for this long, but I just could not seem to shake it off. I still have a minor cough and some annoying congestion, but I feel like I can finally say that I’m feeling much, much better. Although I was sick and wasn’t up for much, I still wanted to swatch and paint my nails but I just didn’t have the energy for it. Day four of the great sickout and I’m still not improving. It’s not like you need a play by play of the progress of my cough and cold, but I need all the positive vibes I can get! I guess that I should probably make it over to the doctor, but I feel like I always end up wasting $15 (my copay) and they don’t recommend anything useful.
