I love matte nails but I hate matte nail polish…does that even make sense? I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with matte nail polish because I love the way it looks, but I hate how clumpy and uneven most matte nail polishes end up looking. So what is the solution? A matte top coat, of course! Over the years I have tried TONS of matte top coats and today I am going to share with you the latest one that I have tried. The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Matte Top Coat gave my other matte top coats a run for their money. Let’s take a look at it in action.

I really liked the end result with this top coat. It was super smooth and doesn’t have that super chalky finish. It looks like a softer matte finish but not exactly a rubber/satin finish either. I found that the top coat had the perfect consistency and it covered my nails nicely. I am a big fan of the brush on the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel line so that might have something to do with it. I think that if you are on the market for a new matte top coat, you might want to give this one a try. My big gripe with matte top coats is that as they age, they start to develop white flecks which transfer on the nail…do you know what I’m taking about? I don’t know if this will happen with this top coat, but I will be super interested to find out.

Oh yes. I feel you. I totally love matte nails, but most matte TCs i tried either took hous to dry or altered the color extremly. I may try this one. Thanks for the tip.
