OPI Always Bare For You

As soon I saw the name of this collection, I giggled a little. Yes, I know that I’m not 13 years old, but it made me think of a bunch of NSFW Polish names like Illamasqua Load and Sinful Colors Beau Khaki. Considering that I love wearing bright and loud colors regularly, it may surprise you to hear that I also very much enjoy soft colors. I don’t wear them as often, but I absolutely enjoy a nice palate cleanser for my nails. On Thursday I stopped by one of my favorite nail supply stores and I was super excited to see that they had the OPI Always Bare For You Collection which will serve as the Soft Shades for 2019. Lets take a look at my swatches below.

First let me say that I liked these a lot more than I thought I would…except for Chiffon-d Of You. That’s a frosty monstrosity that no one can truly like unless you’re a glutton for punishment. Because these shades are meant to be sheer, I decided not to go over 3 coats because that pretty much defeats the purpose. Two coats left the shades looking a little uneven and patchy, so I ended up applying a third coat and was very happy with the results. This collection lives up to the Soft Shades name perfectly! So what do you think about this collection? Will you be picking any of these up?
