Stamping Saturdays #48

Stamping Saturdays #48

Happy Saturday everyone. It’s kind of a gloomy day here which feels weird for California. I thought that we were going to have more rain, but apparently we’re going to have a pretty sunny and mild holiday week. I still haven’t done any Christmas shopping, and I think I’m pretty much dead on that at this point. Yesterday I went to Target and it was mayhem–what was I expecting? I’m going to try to go tonight to get everything done but first I’m going to stop by and visit my Peanut Brat. Last night I had such a hard time deciding what to to for today’s Stamping Saturdays until I started digging in my untrieds. Let me show you how my mani came together.

12First I started with 2 coats of OPI Get Cherried Away (press sample) from the OPI Coca Cola Collection. It’s such a beautiful berry color that is super opaque. I wanted to use this berry shade as my base for the next polish because it has a jelly finish that needs to be built up.

34This is the first time that I use anything from Pipe Dream Polish, and I love it. A big thanks to Frosso for this gorgeous polish. I love being exposed to new brands and sometimes I just don’t even have time to check out what’s out there. Pipe Dream Polish Interference is a glitter polish in a dark jelly base. I love the glitter in this polish, but it does dry super lumpy/gritty which is why you need a good thick top coat to smooth it out. I only applied one coat of Interference over Get Cherried Away and one coat of Seche to give it a smooth and shiny finish.

56For my stamp, I used my trusty Pure Ice Silver Mercedes and the paisley image from Bundle Monster plate BM-315. I love how cleanly this stamped.

So what do you think of this mani? I really like it, and I loved trying out a new polish brand. It’s always a love/hate moment because now I’m going to be drooling over yet another brand when I’m trying to to be good about my spending. Well, I hope you’re doing well today and don’t forget to join us every Saturday for Stamping Saturdays. You can use the hashtag #stampingsaturdays on instagram so that I can find you! Thanks for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon!

Stamping Saturdays #7

Stamping Saturdays #7

PurchasedMyself

I almost didn’t get to post today for Stamping Saturdays because I was being super deluxe lazy last night and didn’t prepare my post ahead of time, and today I just got super busy. I worked really early today and then when I got home, my friend called me so we could get dinner so I met up with her. I was then planning to meet up with another friend to go watch a movie but we decided to just do it another day since we were both feeling tired. So here I am vegging out on a Saturday night and watching some Air Disasters show on Netflix. I’m currently watching an episode about Delta flight 191 that was brought down by a microburst. I used to work for Delta so it’s the first episode that grabbed my attention. Anyway, since I’m not home and relaxing, now I have time to get my post up…yay! Yesterday I went to my nail stores but didn’t find much except for the polish I’m going to show you today and some quick dry drops that I use any time I do stamping or nail art. Let me start off by showing you Morgan Taylor New York State Of Mind.

Morgan Taylor New York State Of Mind 1I decided to show you a blurry picture with bright lighting to really give you an idea about how sparkly this polish is. It’s a polish with a dark jelly base full of tiny rainbow glitter. It’s so sparkly!

Morgan Taylor New York State Of Mind 2In different lighting, you can see all the different colors, but I decided to show you how this sparkles out in the sun.

Ok, I know I sound like an idiot but polish always makes me lose my mind.
BM 315 1BM 315 2For my stamping design, I used the paisley image from Bundle Monster Plate BM 315 and my Konad White Special polish. I really love how this turned out because I love the contrast of the delicate paisley design and the sparkly dark base.

So what do you think about this mani? What about the base polish? I am really loving all the colors peeking through the super dark base! Well, I hope that you’re having a nice weekend so far, and don’t forget to check out my girl’s posts below for other awesome stamping manis. Thanks for stopping by, and I will talk to you soon.

31 Inspired Days of Nail Art – Day 28: Pattern Inspired Nails

I can see the finish line…I can see it! After today’s challenge, there are only 3 more challenges left, and then we are done! I am pretty sure this is my first AND last challenge…not that I didn’t enjoy it for the most part but it was just to much and way too long. While I wondered that the heck to do for the pattern inspiration, I saw this really cute paisley pattern dress in my closet so I decided to just use my paisley stamp and not worry too much about it.

China Glaze Jungle Queen Max Factor Fantasy Fire BM 315

Want to know how I created this mani? Read below….

I freaking love Jungle Queen. It’s one of my favorite–if not my favorite–polish from the On Safari collection. This is two smooth coats.

And this is Jungle Queen with one coat of Max Factor Fantasy Fire which I am now calling Jungle Queen On Crack.

I used Essie Nothing Else Metals to stamp the paisley design from Bundle Monster plate BM 315.

I’m not feeling too talky today…I am not feeling well at all. I had some pizza and it somehow started a lot of bad stuff in my stomach. lol Let’s leave it at that. hahaha Let me know what you think of this mani and don’t forget to check out Nicole’s IKAT nails over at Polish Me, Please!

31 Inspired Days of Nail Art – Day 12 : Chevron Nails

I was feeling completely uninspired about doing today’s challenge. I love chevrons on my nails, but I don’t think that chevrons would look good on my rounded super short nails so I decided to to inverted chevrons.

Sation Rock-a-guy Blue Swatch          Sation Rock-a-guy Blue Swatch

Sation Rock-a-guy Blue is a great blue that I recently purchased. It’s my favorite color from the Little Horse On The Prairie Collection.

I then used Sation Blue Sky’s The Limit for the inverted chevron tips. I am so annoyed that I didn’t see a couple of fibers on my nails and now I can’t do anything about it. Grrrrrr!

I don’t know why I decided to stamp over this, but I did…

I used the paisley print from Bundle Monster plate BM 315 and Wet N Wild’s I Can’t Stand Up Straight. This is so subtle that I can barely tell the stamping is there in indirect light. I’m totally not feeling this stamp on these base colors–can’t win them all.

I need to go cook dinner so forgive me if I’m not particularly talkative throughout this post. Today is a crappy day–just feeling a little down in the dumps so hopefully I’ll feel better once I eat something. Food: always the answer! 🙂

Don’t forget to check out the other manicures my lovely challenge participants created. Thanks for catching up with me today.
