KBShimmer Falloween Collection
I don’t want to jinx it, but the weather has been rather lovely in the last week or so. Summer is officially wrapping up, but us Californians know that we can expect hellish days through October. For now, I am just enjoying the cooler weather. This weekend was the epitome of laziness: I didn’t have anything planned so I basically chilled out and watched a lot of movies. The one thing I am glad to have accomplished is that I cleaned out the majority of my my make up stash. I am not kidding when I say that I probably threw out hundreds of dollars worth of old make up. It hurt my soul a little to throw away that much product, but that only reminds me that I need to buy only the things that I truly need. Now that I have confirmed that I not only hoard nail polish but also make up, let’s get to the meat of today’s post. Hi there. I hope your week is going smashingly well. Even though it’s a short workweek for me due to the Labor Day holiday, I’ve been pretty busy so the days are just flying by. I’ve been laughing at myself lately because it seems like everything is going to pot. I keep having random issues pop up no matter how well I plan things out. Boy has this week been a doozy! Normally I work from home but this whole week I’ve been going into the office for two reasons: 1) It’s hot as hell in my apartment and working in a sauna isn’t exactly fun and 2) There have been a lot of changes at work and we are all working extra hard to catch up get our stuff in order. Isn’t it crazy that August is upon on? It’s been heating up here so I’m not looking forward to the next couple of months. This week has gone by rather quickly and I’m so glad that it’s the weekend. Later this month, my nephew is starting pre-k so I’m trying to plan something fun for him before he starts school. I don’t know if I should take him to an amusement park or something else. I don’t know about you, but I feel like I had a really nice weekend. I didn’t do much, but I spent some time with friends and just relaxed.
