Hello friends! I hope you had a nice weekend and that this warm Monday is treating you well. This weekend was rather laid back which is exactly what I needed after the long week I had. I decided to take a couple of days off so I have a long weekend coming up, and I am soooo looking forward to it. We only have a couple of weeks left before October arrives, and I am already yearning for cooler weather. For someone like myself who clearly loves nail polish and who tries to stick to a rather strict budget after years of wreckless polish spending, there are many brands that I have not tried. Sadly, Quixotic Polish is one of the brands that I have admired for a while but had not yet tried. Well, they will now be part of my budgeted polish spending because I was impressed with these shades and with the impeccable quality. Chatoyer is described as a medium royal purple packed with pink to green shimmer, small red to copper iridescent flakes and a touch of scattered holo sparkles. The formula was very nice: smooth, easy to control and nicely pigmented. Pleuvoir is a deep navy to black based multichrome linear holo that shifts primarily through a dusty rose to a medium magenta to olive green. I didn’t get such a linear holo effect but rather more of a scattered holo, but that does not detract from its beauty. This shade also only needed 2 coats, and it was buttery and self-leveling.
