Illyrian Mixed Emotions
Happy first Monday of June! Blah! So just when I thought that things were gonna get better this month, we start June with a broken appliance. Is it sad that I wasn’t even surprised when my fridge broke? The only good thing is that it broke now and not in the middle of Summer. I still had to throw out all of our food because it went bad hella fast. My new fridge arrives in a few days so I’m looking forward to that. KBShimmer Insert Coin – PPU June 2018
Did you hear that the theme for June PPU is video games? Ahhhh! I am so excited about this because video games were my life when I was a kid. I know I’m aging myself here, but I remember begging my parents for an NES. They didn’t get us one right away, but when they finally did, it was like my life was made. Prior to that, my brother was obsessed with arcades, so I was all too familiar with hoarding a bunch of coins so we could go to the arcade. I think that I have mentioned before that my favorite thing about Polish Pick Up is that I am exposed to tons of brands that I don’t normally purchase from. Now that I have imposed a budget on myself to help me curb out of control make up and polish spending, I have to be very picky when it comes to my purchases. KBShimmer un-Staple – PPU May 2018
I fell off the wagon in the last month or so and have been overspending which completely messed up my budget. I feel pretty bad about it–enough that I skipped PPU in April. I had so many polishes on my want list that I knew if I bought one, I would buy them all so I had to lay low for those few days until I made it past the debilitating temptation. Well, I know I will not be that lucky in May because I already have a few polishes on my list that I refuse to pass on. I even have a list going for some of my co-workers! For May, the theme is the 90’s so you know it’s going to be good! KBShimmer has a ridiculously fun and gorgeous polish planned inspired by the movie Office Space.
