When I noticed that Ulta has finally cleared out all of their old essence stock, I was super excited to see all the new polishes that were on display so I got a bunch of them. These polishes used to be $.99 before they did an overhaul of the line and they are are now $1.99. Don’t fret about the price hike because the bottles are bigger and have almost double the amount of polish.
Today I am wearing Gorgeous Bling Bling.
I kind of like this new bottle shape.
This is two coats of Gorgeous Bling Bling. It has that pumpkin look to it and has flake gold glitter which makes it look a little more interesting. I am so ready for fall so I liked this color very much. The only think that I have a problem with is the name. It’s so dumb that I am almost embarrassed to tell people what color I am wearing when they ask me.
Now, I don’t really know why I did this, but I used NYC Matte Me Crazy on the top half of my my nails and added the rhinestones. I think I need to stop using rhinestones because I am always reminded of the Beddazler when I use them, and that’s about the tackiest thing ever.
I could not figure out what to make for dinner today. I was watching TV and a commercial for Kraft/Hellman’s Mayo came on and they showed some kind of mayo/parmesan chicken. I like mayo. I like parmesan. I like chicken (sometimes!). So I decided to try the recipe which is beyond simple.
All you need is some chicken breast (I butterflied one chicken breast to make two pieces), mayonnaise, parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. I seasoned my chicken with a little black pepper because I love black pepper. I did not add any salt to the chicken because the mayo and cheese have enough salt. Make a paste of the mayo and parmesan.
I placed the chicken in a foil covered baking dish and spread the mayo/parmesan mixture on top of the chicken. I then sprinkled some bread crumbs on top and placed the chicken in the oven. You can bake the chicken for 15-20 minutes at 425 degrees depending on the thickness of the chicken. I finished the chicken off in the broiler to make the top extra brown and crispy.
I made some rice pilaf and some green beans to accompany the chicken. Let me tell you that it came out great. It was super moist and the top was creamy and crispy. It was so incredibly easy that I’m sure I’ll be making it again whenever I need a quick dinner. I also picked up my favorite soda at Target today. Do you like tamarind?
So how has you week been so far? Tomorrow is Friday and then the month is over. Beejus time flies. Next month I will be 33, and I’m not looking forward to it. It’s not about turning older because that doesn’t really bother me; I just don’t really like to celebrate my birthday. Anyway, I hope you have a good Friday in anticipation of a great weekend.

regarding the chicken, my mouth was watering I guess my husband needs to be thankful in advance with your post cause I'm cooking that tomorrow..
only that I accompany it with salad instead, he doesn't like to eat rice (IDK why, i love eating white fluffy rice) .. i'm starving after this post. hahaah
Let me know how you like it! I was surprised that I liked it so much considering how incredibly simple the recipe is. A salad would go great with the chicken actually. I loooooooooooooove rice. I can eat rice every single day but that's not healthy at all. lol I made a plate for my brother so he can eat it when he gets home from work late at night. If he tells me it was too much work to heat it in the microwave, I will strangle him!

Did you end up making the chicken? My brother got home from work at like 2 am and he said he ate it (and left me the present of dirty dishes in the sink, of course) and he loved it. He usually tries to make me mad by saying that my cooking sucks but he didn’t even joke…he said it was delicious.
i didn’t do it..!! we didnt have any food on the fridge hahaha.. so we ordered food from the bar in the corner.. but i just got home from the market and we’re cooking it tomorrow, because tonight we have an invitation..

I don't know what's up at my Ulta. I knew where they used to have Essence, but that was before the brand was really on my radar. Now the store is re-organized and I can't find Essence. They're doing this thing where they're putting all of the "drug-store side" nail polishes in one area…I do not like it at all. It's all sloppy.

Week has been…interesting. Lots of dramatic shit going down for a close friend of mine. Work's been interesting, too…a co-worker left and it turns out she left a giant backlog of stuff she just didn't do, so that's all being dumped on me. Whatevs…three day weekend, baby, one of my favorite things in the whole wide world!!! I might be going to Monterey to visit a friend, but that hasn't been solidified yet.
As I get older, I feel like I am celebrating birthdays MORE because I need to offset the adding of a year! In any case, you'll have a polish haul to look forward to!!!
Your Ulta needs to get its act together! hahaha! I have 3 Ultas near me but the one that is closest is in an upscale part of town so it is always absolutely pristine and well stocked. I think the other two are going through some sort of "organizational issues." lol I probably won't go back to the other two and just stick to the good one.
I'm glad that the chicken was a success! My brother usually tries to make me mad by telling me my food is "mediocre" yet he eats it all the time. He does the same to my mom just to piss her off. He worked really late so I let his plate all prepared and ready to heat up so he would eat it. The next morning he told me how good it was…so I guess this time it was so good he wasn't even going to try to annoy me. hahaha
It sucks about your co-worker and getting stuck with all her crap. Whenever we got rid of people at work I would have to clear out their desks and follow up on all their accounts and it was a freaking nightmare. I hope you at least get some fun and relaxation in during this long weekend.

I also like the new essence bottles and I like how they're coming out w these cool glitters and nail stamping plates and dotting tools. I got the dotting tool while I was on vacation and I love it! I tried my first legit dotticure and actually think it turned out pretty dang good for my first try. 🙂 I have a major problem w rhinestones…. I too always feel very bedazzled which I do not like. I prefer gleequins cuz they're flatter and slightly less… shall we say, in honor of this polish, "bling bling"? Haha.
I wish Ulta carried more essence stuff besides the regular nail polishes and some make up stuff. I have seen all their nail art stuff online and it looks pretty cool. I still haven't seen that glitter that you bought anywhere so I'm guessing Ulta just has a very limited range of products. 🙁
Oh man…I used gleequins the other day and they turned out horrific. I think the ones I have are way too big so I couldn't really do a nice pattern with them. I didn't think about it until I actually tried doing a look with them. Total fail. Ugh…I am just remembering the beddazled jean jacket I used to wear. LOL
