It seems that the older I get, the drier my skin becomes. In my teens and twenties, I had terribly oily skin which eventually transitioned to combination skin and finally to dry as the Sahara in my late 30’s. Hey there! How’s your Monday going? After a very short week last week, it’s a little painful to get back into the swing of things. I got a lot of things done this weekend so it’s a good feeling when you know you got most of the things on your to-do list done. How’s your Saturday going? Since I had such a short work week, I feel like Saturday just crept up on me, but I’m definitely not complaining. Woo hoo! Friday is here again. I love having a short week, especially when the weekend is upon us again. I have a bunch of polishes that I need to swatch so I’ll be pretty busy this weekend. I plan to wake up early on Saturday to get a head start and hopefully I’ll be done swatching, editing and writing up posts by that evening. Tonic Ambrosia
When the latest Tonic restock was announced, I was very excited about the new unicorn pee polishes with flakes, but I think that I was most excited about Tonic Ambrosia. When I sat down to make my purchase list, I knew that Ambrosia was going to be my #1 pick and I would get it no matter what. It was so difficult to cut down my list but I am rather proud of myself for only picking up three polishes in the month of February. While this polish is not as in your face as other, I feel that it’s so complex and beautiful. Tonic Bauble Oops
One of the things that I love about Tonic is that they are very responsive to any issues that arise. Even before I got my bottle of Bauble, I saw a post in the Tonic fan group about an error that had occurred. Apparently, there was a mix-up with the recipe used for some of the first batches of Bauble. We were assured that replacements would be shipped out soon for those who were affected. It really sucks that it happened, but I appreciate how on top of it they were! Tonic Happenstance
Hello there and happy Tuesday. I hope you’re doing well today and that you’re ready to get back to work after the long weekend (if you had it off and are in the US). I’m still basking in the glory of a 4 day weekend so forgive me if I rub it in. This weekend I did some minor swatching just to get some posts ready. I am expecting a few packages in the coming week so I am definitely going to be a busy swatching bee. My most recent Tonic order came in on Thursday, only days after placing the order, so of course I had to pull out my new pretties to play with. Today I have Tonic Happenstance to show you.
China Glaze Too Busy Being Awesome
When I was a kid, my parents didn’t have much money for things that weren’t absolute necessities so I didn’t always get the newest and coolest toys. This is something that can be hard to explain to a kid, but I learned quickly not to ask for things that I knew were expensive. One particular toy that I always wanted was My Little Pony. I must have wanted it badly enough for my mom to remember it years later when she came home from a garage sale with a My Little Pony toy. Although I was already in my late teens, it meant a lot to me and to this day I still remember the look on my mom’s face when she gave it to me. This makes me wonder if I’m spoiling my nephews too much because I buy them EVERYTHING they want–will they appreciate things as much when they basically get new toys all the time? The reason I’m talking about this is because I have a polish from the My Little Pony Collection to share with you today: China Glaze Too Busy Being Awesome. China Glaze In The Mood – #vintagepolishfriday
Woot, woot! Friday is here again, and I’m gearing up to have a major lazyfest this weekend since I have 4 days off. Do you have any exciting plans this weekend? Since I will have a couple of extra days, I’m going to do some dusty hunting. Now that I’m committed to doing #vintagepolishfriday on the regular, I want to have a pretty decent stash of oldies. Today I’m going to show you a China Glaze In The Mood polish that I found at one of my dusties. The In The Mood line was allegedly released in 2001, and it’s pretty hard to find reliable information online. The only information that seems somewhat legit is that which I found here. Unfortunately, my bottle did not have a name and it appears that they used to have a sticker on the back of the bottle with the name of the polish. Let me show you some swatches below.
