Can you believe August is right around the corner? I’m actually in complete disbelief because it has not felt like Summer at all in Southern California. In fact, the weather has been rather mild and I haven’t even had to use my AC yet…what in the world?? I know 2020 has kind of been garbage all-around, but I sure hope that things start to turn around for all of us. After July’s rewind theme, August is bringing us Weird Science! KBShimmer Endless Summer Collection

Hello there! This weekend was full of nail stuff because I decided to finally assemble the two Helmers that I purchased from Ikea back in April. I know…I know. In my defense, I didn’t technically receive them until the end of May, but because I had such a horrible time assembling my other Ikea furniture, I just put it on the back burner. I did manage to do some swatching before I ruined my hands and nails with more furniture assembling which is what I’m going to be sharing with you today. The KBShimmer Endless Summer Collection is a perfect example of a brand listening to their customers. After Sol What debuted in Polish Pickup, people went bonkers for it. KBShimmer Secret Menu – PPU & IPU June 2020

Ugh…here I go making excuses as to why I haven’t posted in a month. Well, you may know that I moved into my new apartment on 5/1 so it’s been really hectic. I pretty much moved on my own and it sucked. Since I moved during a difficult time, deliveries of things like furniture took much longer than expected. In fact, I just received the last of my big furniture orders. I do have my bed (which I had to get replaced since it was damaged during delivery) but I have almost everything else. I haven’t been able to really do the small things like decorative touches, but that’s not really a priority right now. As far as polish is concerned, I still have most of my pretties in storage while I wait to set up my Herlmers. Anywho, today I wanted to share a deliciously shifty polish and sugar scrub. KBShimmer Fruit Slices, Yummy Yummy – PPU & IPU May 2020

Hey there, long time no blog! I’ve been absent again because I’ve just been so stressed and anxious about everything going on. On top of that, I am just moving into my new apartment today so I’ve been preparing for that these last few weeks. I am basically furnishing my new place completely and it’s been difficult to get things due to all the shipping delays. I totally understand the delays, but it doesn’t make it any easier. I took a couple of weeks off from work to get all my stuff figured out so I hope that’s enough time. One of the few things that I can still do in quarantine to get my mind of stuff is maintaining my nail routine. I haven’t felt very inspired lately, but I am still taking care of my nails/cuticles. KBShimmer Sól What? – PPU & IPU March 2020

I know that February is a short month, but I’m still shocked that March is right around the corner. I recently got the news that my place will be ready by May 1st which means that I only have to stay at my temporary place for 2 more months. You have no idea how happy this makes me because I’ve felt displaced since December. It has definitely been rough, but I feel like I am now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I just have to wait it out for 2 more months. So that’s great new for me that has definitely put me in a much better mood–which brings me to other things that put me in good mood: pretty polish! KBShimmer Let It Beetle – PPU & IPU February 2020

You’d think that due to the holiday today, I’d be enjoying having a day off to relax; alas, I came down with a nasty cold and have just been hiding out in my den of germs for the last 5 days. I’ve been living off a combination of Nyquil, Dayquil and Theraflu which pretty much knocks me out for hours at a time. I’m not complaining since I 100% need the rest. I’m glad that I got right on swatching these items as soon as I got them because I wouldn’t be getting it done now with the way I’m feeling. KBShimmer White Here White Now & Total Eclipse

Hey there! I hope your Monday is going well. I’m here chugging along trying to make some meaningful changes in my life. I’ve started keeping a planner to help me do a few things: track my diet, my exercise and my blogging. While I’m not making blogging a strict activity, there are a lot of things that I want to do to help me recapture the joy I used to get out of this hobby which will hopefully include eventually doing swatch videos. I’ve made some serious efforts in regards to exercising more and I’m already seeing some results which is super encouraging. Anywho, today I have two staples polishes to share with you: KBShimmer White Here White Now and Total Eclipse. For anyone that loves to do nail art, having a good white and black polish is a must so I have these two great options to share with you. Well, it seems like a hot minute since I posted but it hasn’t been that long. I think that all the rush of the Christmas holiday just caught up to me and stuff just fell by the wayside. It also did not help that my nails kept breaking and I had to just buckle down and swatch with shorties. Since my move, I am still working on trying to get my perfect set up for swatching and taking pics so please cut me some slack. KBShimmer Un-brrr-lievable – PPU & IPU December 2019

Hi all and Happy December! I hope that you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and that you survived Black Friday/Cyber Monday relatively unscathed. I had one helluva a weekend! I finally moved out of the place I had called home for eons and parted ways with my baby brother (who is 29!). He has been living with me pretty much since he was 18 so I can imagine that it will be a huge adjustment for him. On my end, as much as I love him, I was ready to push him (violently) out of the nest. My current living situation is complicated to say the least and it will be around 4-6 months before I can move in to my new permanent place. Trust me, it’s more messy than you can even begin to imagine. To top it all off, I got sick in the middle of all of this and now I’m a snot-filled mess with a cough that doesn’t let me sleep. As always, the timing is impeccably putrid. Since I don’t have much good news today, I’m just going to get to it and share my swatches of KBShimmer Un-brrr-lievable which is this month’s PPU offering. Let’s take a look!
