Kiko #397 Aureus Pomegranate

Today I have another “foreign” polish to share with you. Kiko is a brand that I have really come to adore because it’s affordable and the polishes are top notch. They have such an amazing array of colors and finishes that I can’t even begin to pick my favorite. The only downside for us US ladies is that we can’t really get this brand locally as it is an Italian brand that is sold in Europe for the most part. Wah wah! This makes me sad, but since I have such lovely polish friends all over the place, I have been able to get some amazing polishes. This was actually one of the very first Kikos I ever received from Sabrina. I got it at the same time as Kiko #336 Blue Elettrico and Kiko #401 Peacock Green and I used it, but I banished the pictures to my hidden folders because once again I applied some questionable glitter on the polish. Anyway, enough of my ramblings and on to to the beauty that is Kiko #397 Aureus Pomegranate!

My experience with Kiko polishes has been perfection in a bottle and this was no different. All I needed were two easy coats! I don’t think this is truly very duo-chromey…I mean, I can see the rose to gold flashes but it’s very subtle. Still, a very lovely addition to my growing Kiko collection.

And because maybe you were wondering about what I did to this beautiful mani afterwards…

Not my favorite look at all, but I have to own it, right?! This is not pretty but at least is not as ugly as my huge hex glitter look. *shudders* Oh, and I made chocolate walnut brownies:

I already ate two. It’s not my fault. They are so chewy and delicious.

Thanks for stopping by and catching up with me. Later, gator.

    1. Thank you! I really like this color too which is surprising because normally I wouldn’t be all excited about it from looking at the bottle. I like how it turned out on my nails.

  1. I’m not really a fan of this color, but I do like the golden glow it has. For some reason I just don’t seem to like rosé colored polishes, they just look terrible on me. This color looks good on you though, plus, it’s Kiko!

    1. Now I am wondering if I have EVER seen a polish this color on your blog. Hmmmmmm….

I know…my kiko obsession is growing like crazy. I must have them all!

      1. Nope. I’m almost 100% positive that I’ve never shown this sort of color on my blog. Rose colored polishes on my nails literally make me barf. I barf so hard at them that I’ve had to return bottles of polish out of pure disgust, no matter how hard I try to like them for this, that, or the other reason. I refuse to barf because of polish again so I don’t even bother any longer. I gave up hope. lol

The truth is, they make me feel like an old lady. With old lady nails. Who plays bridge. *shudder* (no offense to bridge players, I love playing cards!)

        1. LMAO!!!! This comment seriously made my day. I was laughing so hard. Ok, well, I kind of am an old lady now. I seriously always start my thoughts with stuff like “Kids these days…” or “When I was younger….”so I guess it’s only fitting that I continue with the nail trend.:P I wanted to stamp the crap out of this polish but then the whole sequins thing happened. Alas, I still like this color. Quick, turn around so you don’t barf. hahaha

    1. Thanks, Lori! I had to look up Pink Sizzle and you’re right! They do have some similar qualities. I like how much darker Pink Sizzle is…very cool. I haven’t tried any LA Colors polishes but I might have to check them out.

  2. OMG, Jessica’s barfing comment made me laugh!
Pretty color, and I think the sequins match it well. They are just, again, large. 😉
AHJWRNDJIY brownies why??? I loves me some brownies. Especially chewy ones! Can I console myself with Halloween candy? Only time will tell… 😉
