Have you ever been wowed by a polish after seeing a million swatches and then when you get it, the polish falls flat on you? This is exactly what happened to mw with Esmaltes da Kelly Mahalo. I don’t know what happened but I just don’t like how it looks on me. I think part of it could be that I didn’t get the very lovely end result that I saw so many people show in their swatches. This is the first time I try out the brand and think that I will buy more–just not if they are magnetics. Let’s take a look at my swatches below.
I soooo want to like this and I’m not sure why I don’t. The formula was super easy to work with–it applied easily and leveled out nicely. I feel that I have finally figure out what works for me when it comes to magnetic polishes and a good neodymium is key. I will usually work one nail at a time and hold the magnet for 30 seconds to get a crisp line. Maybe this polish will end up growing on me but I just felt underwhelmed once I tried it out. I do not regret the purchase because I really wanted to try it and jumped on it when it came back for Rewind month.
So what do you think about this shade? Have you tried other shades from Esmaltes da Kelly? Do you have any recommendations? Since EDK is a Brazilian brand, you will have luck finding shades at various stockists as well as purchasing through PPU. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.
