Today I have another gorgeous collection to share with you, but before I get into all the swatches and whatnot, I was thinking about how it’s almost mid-January and my 8th year blogging anniversary came and went without a peep from me on my blog. Can you believe I’ve been at this for 8 years?! I know that every year I toy with the idea of closing down my blog, but it seems that this year I have decided to get back on track and revive this little hobby. I am not going to put pressure on myself and agonize when I don’t post as often as I think I should. I’m going to put the love back into actually writing–even though I feel like people just don’t want to read blogs anymore. Isn’t that sad? A-England Poe’s Tale Collection
One of my first loves has always been literature. At a certain point, I was convinced that I would pursue the life of academia and would eventually become a literature professor focusing on Elizabethan-era literature. Things didn’t quite turn out that way. I feel that for a while, I lost my passion for most of the things that had shaped me as an adult but I’m glad to say that I’m finding my way back. Making time for reading has been difficult, but I have come to realize that you have to force yourself to make the time for the things that are important to you. Now, the reason why I’m talking about my love for literature is because I have a beautiful collection to share with you today. Hey there! I hope your Monday is going well. I’m here chugging along trying to make some meaningful changes in my life. I’ve started keeping a planner to help me do a few things: track my diet, my exercise and my blogging. While I’m not making blogging a strict activity, there are a lot of things that I want to do to help me recapture the joy I used to get out of this hobby which will hopefully include eventually doing swatch videos. I’ve made some serious efforts in regards to exercising more and I’m already seeing some results which is super encouraging. Well, it seems like a hot minute since I posted but it hasn’t been that long. I think that all the rush of the Christmas holiday just caught up to me and stuff just fell by the wayside. Prism Polish UK Prism-versary 2.0 Trio
Hey guys! Yeah, I’ve been out of it for a bit, it seems. After (during) my move, I got super sick and I’m just barely getting through it. I’m kind of having a hellavu time getting used to my temporary gigs, but I am definitely not complaining since I do have a roof over my head and place to work and…you know, live. I know it’s just for a few months so I know time flies by so I’ll be in my brand spanking newly remodeled place in no time. At first I thought that it was going to be hard to keep blogging through this rough patch, but I figured that I should continue to do the things I enjoy so when there’s a will, there’s a way. KBShimmer Un-brrr-lievable – PPU & IPU December 2019
Hi all and Happy December! I hope that you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and that you survived Black Friday/Cyber Monday relatively unscathed. I had one helluva a weekend! I finally moved out of the place I had called home for eons and parted ways with my baby brother (who is 29!). He has been living with me pretty much since he was 18 so I can imagine that it will be a huge adjustment for him. On my end, as much as I love him, I was ready to push him (violently) out of the nest. My current living situation is complicated to say the least and it will be around 4-6 months before I can move in to my new permanent place. Trust me, it’s more messy than you can even begin to imagine. To top it all off, I got sick in the middle of all of this and now I’m a snot-filled mess with a cough that doesn’t let me sleep. As always, the timing is impeccably putrid. Since I don’t have much good news today, I’m just going to get to it and share my swatches of KBShimmer Un-brrr-lievable which is this month’s PPU offering. Let’s take a look! So Halloween is in a couple of days…do you have any Halloween plans? I am pretty much over Halloween and am not planning on dressing up or doing anything. Not too many kids come around my neighborhood for candy so I know that if I buy any, I will end up eating it all myself–so I won’t be buying any too much. What is your favorite candy? Hey guys! How’s your Monday going so far? I actually just wrapped up a week-long vacation that was sorely needed, and now I have to get back into the rhythm of work. I wish I had taken 2 weeks instead of 1, but I have tons of work so I’d rather not let things pile up or get out of control.
