Hello there and welcome to Stamping Saturdays! I was planning to get this written and posted earlier in the day, but I just didn’t have time to do anything while I was at work this morning. After that, I went to a couple of nail places but didn’t really find anything….except a few bottles of Channelesque! Yayyy for backups!!!! For today’s stampicure, I started out with my base color of Channelesque which I reviewed here.
Yep, you know I love this color! Because I wanted to make Channelesque a little blingy, I added one thin coat of Max Factor Fantasy Fire on top of it.
I know that this looks uneven, but I didn’t really care because I was going to stamp over it anyway. Doesn’t it look pretty with that purple and sparkly tinge?
I am a huge fan of houndstooth print in everything (nails, clothes, shoes) so I decided to use Pure Ice Silver Mercedes to stamp on the houndstooth design from plate BM-322. I absolutely love how this turned out. I wish that that the beautiful base stood out more, but when I went outside with this design, it was like my nails were glowing.

Ooh I’m loving your Stamping Saturdays! This is a great mani. How do you get your stamps to come out so clean and perfect? Mine seem to either miss the edge by the cuticle or only part of the image stamps or both. I love that taupe color!
I think it’s just a lot of practice. I try to align my stamper the same way on each nail.

This is gorgeous! I never would have thought to put FF over a dusty color like this, but I love it. I am addicted to my houndstooth stamp, too 🙂

I don’t even think they have nail places with dusties in my part of Canada, you’re so lucky! That really is a gorgeous colour, and that’s great to hear that you got some backups! You should totally swatch Fantasy Fire over one of those dark blue cremes you have if you haven’t already, I’d love to see it! I think I really want to pick it up haha. I love houndstooth too, I have these crazily high-waisted houndstooth pants that I forgot about, I’ll have to wear them again! I love these!! 🙂

When I saw Channelesque with Fantasy Fire over it, my first thought was, “SOB!!!” (“Sob” as in crying, not as in “son of a bitch”…although I guess that is appropriate, too). Like I am mentally hysterically crying over the gorgeousness.
I am also an avid houndstooth supporter. *thumbs up*
SOB (both meanings) is a pretty reasonable reaction, I think. haha
