Hello friends! Hope all is going well in your corner of the planet. I’m chugging along over here hoping for the best but expecting the worst! July is right around the corner and the weather is still pretty mild here so I’m fully expecting it to be 100+ well into November. Ha! I’ve been meaning to share these swatches with you but I had to redo them when I lost the images on my computer. It was a mess! Anyway, today I am sharing the Lemming Lacquer Magnetic Galaxy Trio with you so let’s get the show on the road!

Before anyone says anything, you may notice a funny indentation on some of my fingers. That is the result of me pressing the magnet a little too hard on my finger. I used a magnetic cap from an old Nails Inc magnetic polish which has a very strong wavy magnet design. Now, these polish can be used on their own or they can be used as toppers. For my swatches, I ended up using China Glaze Liquid Leather for my black base. Liquid Leather is one of my favorite black polishes for sure.
For each polish, I applied one thin coat and then went in with a second, thicker coat. When you’re dealing with magnetic polishes, it’s important to shake your polish and work one nail at a time. After applying the second coat, I immediately held the magnet close to the polish for 20 seconds before moving on to the next nail. This seemed to work very well for me and I was able to get a pattern going.
The formula on these polishes is typical of a topper. I think that if you want to wear them alone, you would definitely need 3 coats for full opacity if you go in thin. They do build up fairly easily which was nice. I’m very partial to magnetic polishes and these are really pretty. The color shift is crazy depending on the angle and lighting so they are soooo fun to look at.
