Not satisfied with my Sally Hansen loot, I decided to call up my go-to beauty supply store to hound them again about when they are going to get the China Glaze Hunger Games Collection. They know my voice by now…oh yes, they do. They hear it in their nightmares ever since I bugged them about the Nicki Minaj and Holland collections. Well, guess what?
I wanted to steal the display. I was so excited that I was sweating like a whore in church…or maybe that was just my blood sugar? Anyway, I was super happy when they told me they had just received the collection. I jumped in my car and confronted rush hour traffic.
How awesome is the model on the display? She’s wearing some of those paper eyelashes that I was tempted to try but I couldn’t swallow the price…for paper eyelashes! Maybe I can start dressing like Effie Trinket in every day life. How about that?
Now I am itching to wear all these colors and I want to re-read the three books even though I just finished them. Are you looking forward to The Hunger Games movie? I am!!!!!
Which color grabs your attention the most? Oh, and please rest assured, my beauty supply store friends. You won’t hear from me for a while or until the next “can’t wait to get my hands on collection.” So I’ll call you next week.
I have to be honest here… I SORT OF HATE YOU RIGHT NOW!!! I want those SOOOOOOOOO bad!!! I'm just kidding about hating you but geez… I hope my Sally's has them tomorrow and will sell them to me. Idk when they're actually supposed to be out. Watch- mine has probably had them for like 3 days and now they'll be out of all the good ones. 🙁 Yay for you, tho!!! As you can tell, I'm BEYOND jealous!
I'm sowwwwy! LOL But yeah, my nail place guy was kinda happy that I went in to get them cause I'm sure he was sick of me calling every 5 seconds. He's this older Vietnamese guy who knows EVERYTHING about every collection ever. He was telling me which colors I could pass on cause they were similar to this or that. I told him, "You know I am going to get them all" so he just laughed and packed them up. I read somewhere that some Sally's already had them out so I went to like 3 of them this weekend and they didn't have them and the girls had no idea what I was talking about. I really hate when the workers are not at all knowledgeable about the things they are selling…especially when they are super anticipated like this collection. The place I go to sells them for $3 so I'm glad I got them there. I'm sure I would have gotten them at Sally's if they had been there this weekend. Yay to being bargain savvy! 🙂
My Sally's is so bad like that- they have no clue when anything is coming out, and then like WILL NOT let me have anything even a day early. It's so annoying. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if they have them. There are like 4 Sally's stores relatively close to my house so maybe I'll have some luck. I have one other beauty supply store around but idk if they get any current polishes in, and that's about all I know of. :-/ Time to google!! haha
Guess who called Sally's and went there and they got these polishes out from the back???? 😀 We can be friends again, I don't have to jealous-hate you anymore! I'm sure you're relieved. Haha. I can't wait to see your swatches and then do my own. Do you ever feel like it's mostly other bloggers that read all these blogs? I know I'm always reading a billion of them!
LOL…oh, I can breathe again. You like me, you really really like me! 🙂 That's so cool that they got them for you and didn't act like turds. I definitely think it's mostly bloggers that read all this stuff because I also read a lot of them. I had a hard time taking pics today because the sunlight just seemed weird. I really need to invest in a decent camera.
Yes I was so excited!!! I was also semi-sweating like a whore in church. Haha. Or perhaps a fat kid at HS physicals…? Anyway, I was hyped! I don't have a great camera but I always take mine inside. It's like never sunny here in the winter and I always do my nails at night. I could take much better pics with a nicer camera but I think mine are ok. They'll have to be cuz I spend money on polish, not cameras! Haha.
Oh- AND the poor girl didn't even know what polished were the HG ones, brought me out a crackle! (ohh the insult) and then I sent her back to the back room a second time cuz she said she didn't have them all and I was like "are you SURRRE?" They probably hate me. :p
