Color Club Night At The Met

Is it just me, or is Color Club kind of falling off everyone’s radar? When I first started blogging in 2011, I remember everyone was going batshit crazy for the brand and then the Halo Hues happened. I loved the Halo Hues and got a bunch of them, but it seems like after they went through their rebrand, things just kind of cooled off. I was part of their blogger network and regularly received PR packages and then nothing…crickets. I am not even sure if they are still putting out collections, but I still look through the racks when I go to my beauty supplies.  A few weeks ago, I went to a new store with a couple of friends and I bought a bunch of older polishes, one of them being Color Club Night At The Met. I had not seen this polish before so I had to look it up online and discovered that it’s part of the Made in New York Collection from 2014. Let me show you some swatches below.

Uhm, excuse me Color Club Night At The Met. You are one gorgeous polish! I was really surprised at how beautiful this steel gray blue is, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the shimmer was very pronounced. The formula was nice and I only needed 2 coats for full opacity. This polish is still on the Color Club website where it retails for $8.50, but I suggest looking elsewhere for a better price. I think I got my bottle for $2.50 at the beauty supply that I went to which is a total steal. What do you think of this polish? Is Color Club a brand that you still look for when it comes to mainstream polishes? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.

  1. I DO always look for Color Club collections — they are somewhat HTF, though. The CC website is a source, as well as HBBeautyBar.com. I think they simply put out fewer collections per year than other companies, but I feel that this brand is also underrated and under-publicized! The shades I have purchased have always had a great formula, wonderful brush, and nice longevity on the nail. Interesting and creative themes for the collections, too. I wish the company would promote them more!!

    1. I totally agree! I really do love the brand and they are consistently good, but I rarely hear about them on social media which is where, let’s be honest, people are going to get most of their nail polish/make up news. I hope that they do come back or up their publicity game.

  2. They do have loads of new colours out – check out their website! I’m from the UK and we can only buy Color Club off Amazon, sadly – it’s not in any shops. My faves are the Halo Hues and Oil Slick ranges. So different from anything you can get in the UK.
