Is it really just Wednesday? I feel like this week has dragged on so badly and I can barely wait for the weekend to roll around. I feel like every weekend I make a bunch of plans for stuff that I want to get done around the house and yet I end up doing none of it. Now that I have cleared out my swatch pile, now I don’t have to worry about that and just do other stuff like…sitting on the couch and watch movies? Ha! Speaking of movies, I just watched the new The Conjuring movie on HBO Max and it was pretty good. It wasn’t as good as the first one, but it was interesting enough. Wildflower Lacquer Where Stars Are Born – Charity Box June 2021

It was sooooo gloomy yesterday. It was the perfect example of California June gloom, and it just put me in a sour mood. While I don’t necessarily care for hot weather, I do enjoy a little sun. It’s actually been pretty cool (especially at night) which I don’t necessarily mind, but I’m scared of how hot this Summer might end up being. This is the perfect “stay home and watch HBO Max all day” weather and that’s exactly what I did once I was done with work. Wildflower Lacquer Raw Crystal Collection

How was your weekend? I didn’t do much except clean, watch some tv/movies and prepare for the coming week. Have I ever mentioned how much I like to do laundry? I must be a total weirdo but I really enjoy folding laundry and organizing my dresser drawers and closet. I also took out a lot of my polishes an ended up organizing them by brand. About a year ago, I promised myself that I would only allow myself to keep 1 melmer full of polish and now I am close to two full melmers. I failed, but there there are just so many pretty polishes! KBShimmer I’m So Over It – PPU June 2021

Music City Beauty Ruby Slippers – PPU June 2021

So this week I’m going to have a few polishes that will be available this Friday for Polish Pick Up. I am still in a little bit of denial that we are now in June. Where did the time go? I’ve still just been living my worst life in isolation (funny, but not funny?), but I hope that things get better in the near future. I’ve been playing non-stop with polish because that’s really a time consuming hobby since I have to much and organizing stuff is one of the things I love to do. KBShimmer RV There Yet? Collection

Hi all! As I mentioned last week, I have a ton of swatches to share with you and today I have a brand new collection to tempt you with. This weekend I was planning to do a bunch of swatches to clear out my swatch pile but I had a bit of a break so I am going to wait for it to grow out a bit. Prism Polish UK In Without A Bang Collection

When I was thinking about the polishes in the Prism Polish UK In Without A Bang Collection I knew right away what the inspiration was. It made me think back to all of 2020, but it also made me think of T S Eliot’s The Hollow Men:

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.

Prism Polish UK Pour Some Sugar Collection

Hi there! Yeah, I know I’ve been MIA for a while but to be honest, getting the COVID vaccine kinda kicked my butt a little bit. I still would do it a million time over again just for the peace of mind and to do my part to get back to “normal” whatever that means. Work has also been pretty busy which is a good thing so I’ve just felt a little run down. But you know what? Things are definitely looking up AND I’m getting super excited about nail polish again. KBShimmer Everything Is A-Bouquet – PPU May 2021

Happy Friday! I am super excited for this weekend because for whatever reason, I am super exhausted. I’ve been looking forward to the weekend since like Monday–but isn’t that every week? Ha! I’ve been watching a lot of new shows and the latest one that I’m really into is Mare of Easttown; have you checked it out? It’s on HBO Max and it stars Kate Winslet. It’s pretty dark but really good. I also have tons of swatching to get done this weekend and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve had such terrible luck lately with nail breaks that I’m relieved to finally have some length. I blame the breaks on the constant cleaning and the fact that I refuse to wear gloves.
