Zoya MatteVelvet Polishes: Here’s Your Chance!

PurchasedMyself

Did you miss out on the Zoya MatteVelvet polishes in the past? Well guess, what? Some of the shades are being re-released so you can get your hands on them! I had to dig in my stash for the four that I purchased when they first came out and swatched the three that are part of the ones they are re-issuing. I don’t remember being that crazy excited about these polishes when I first got them, but now I’m trying to figure out what was wrong with me back then because they are goygeous. The formula on these polishes is a little tricky to work with because, since they are mattes, they tend to dry quickly so you can’t overwork the polish or else you will get a streaky, lumpy, and uneven result. There are polishes that don’t deserve being babied…these totally do.

I’m telling you…don’t miss out on these again. I will be getting my hands on Veruschuka because I didn’t previously purchase it. Here are some details regarding the colors that will be available:

  1. I just ordered Dovima. Just curious, have you ever swatched Kimmy? I love reds but I’m always nervous about making a purchase without seeing it–they never look the way I expect them to. This is my first Zoya purchase but you didn’t steer me wrong with Orly Uniquely Satin so I’m trusing you lol

    1. I have swatched Kimmy and I have a post on it…however, the pictures aren’t very good. I don’t like it that much because it has a metallic look to it in a way. It’s a super bright color, though.

  2. Dovima = SEX-AY!
I like the bright color of Posh and I’m thinking Veruschuka is also promising. Thankfully, I’m not a fan of mattes! Although, Dovima at least made me think twice. I have issues, lol.

  3. Dovima is so deep and dark that it just absorbs light and should have been called Ungoliant instead. Not a very pretty name, but truly expressive of the dark beauty of the way this polish just draws in and devours light! Gorgeous..
