Hello there! Long time no blog! I know I’ve been MIA for a while, but I really felt like I needed a break. It wasn’t so much about being tired of nail stuff or blogging, I was just feeling mentally and physically down. I’ve been really busy at work, which I really like, but I also find myself just exhausted and blogging is like the last thing I want to do after a long week. I have definitely still been looking at all the new stuff coming out and I have indulged a bit, so you’ll be seeing some of the new stuff soon on my blog. Today I have the latest collection from one of my favorite salon brands; the Zoya Jelly Brites collection is a trio of saturated jellies that you can wear alone or layer to create some fun combinations. Let me show you some swatches below.
I really love the squishiness of jelly polishes so I do like that about this trio. If you understand that jellies are made to be sheer and you will need multiple coats if you decide to wear them alone, you should be fine. I, on the other hand, seem to not understand this concept because I really did not like have to wearing so many coats. For all of my swatches, I did two regular coats and a third thick coat that I floated on the nail. I finished off with one coat of Seche Vite. I actually really do like how pretty these look but I almost feel like I wanted to make these look like super glossy cremes. I didn’t try any layering combinations but my first thought was to put them over Orly Mirrorball. That shall be my next experiment! Anywho, these are available now on zoya.com where they retail for $10 each. Did you pick up any of these? Let me know if you like them and if you have any cool layering ideas. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon!
