More Sation Love

Today I have for you the last two polishes I purchased a couple of weeks ago from Miss Professional Nail’s Sation line. I am giving this brand a lot of love lately because I’ve been really pleased with the color selection. By the way, Miss Professional Nail is giving away 3 piece sets of their nail polishes to a few lucky winners so don’t forget to visit them on facebook for a chance to enter.

Stirring Silver does not look silver at all. Well, maybe it’s supposed to be a blue toned silver. You can see the beautiful blue shimmer in some of the bottle pictures, but sadly it does not show up on my nails at all. I’ve said many times that these polishes seem a little too thick to me, but I find that they tend to self-level pretty well so I don’t really have issues with application.

Class Flirt was impossible to photograph. It looks radioactive in my pictures because it really is that bright and saturated. This one is described as a “radiant roseberry” and I think that’s pretty accurate. This did not strike me as a neon at first, but I do think it qualifies as one.  It doesn’t dry completely shiny and glossy but it’s not exactly a satin polish either. I’ve shown it here with a coat of Seche Vite.

What do you think of these colors? Are these colors you would normally wear?

    1. They have some really great colors and glitters…if you like glitter. 🙂 It's actually pink/rose and like a berry color. It's just so crazy bright that I couldn't really capture the color accurately.

  1. What exactly is a roseberry? Is that a cross between rose and raspberry?

Too bad the shimmer in Stirring Silver doesn't show up on the nail, it's still a very pretty color though.

    1. I've never heard of a roseberry before so I had to look it up. It's like a strawberry and it has pink blooms which i guess suits this polish. In real life, it has a lot of pink in it and like a berry tone as well. I just could not get it to photograph well…it's so bright that it looks like it's glowing. My camera didn't have a chance….

I know! I would have loved to see the shimmer too. 🙁

    1. I thought it was a jelly at first but it doesn't dry shiny like a jelly. I still had some vnl just like a jelly which was kinda weird but I can see this working in a jelly type sandwich look. It is pretty…I don't even think some of my true neons are this freaking bright.

  2. I like some of your other Sations better (the Aqua Lily dupe is my fave, but I also like that neon pink), but these are nice. Kinda remind me of Cult Nails My Kind of Kool Aid and Essie Ole Caliente (not dupes, though).

    1. Hey, the aqua lily looking one is also my fave! I think I have Ole Caliente but can't remember if I tried it yet. I wonder if it's as bright as this one…going to have to compare them.

Don't you think my kind of kool aid is way more…purple?

      1. Ha, yes, I guess so. I am just kind of translating the first one as more pastel lavender than light gray/blue, for some reason. And my comparisons are not always accurate…it's just what comes to mind as "similar to" when I see a color.
Now that you mention it, I think I tried Ole Caliente on my toes and not my fingers yet, and it is sad that I have so much polish that I cannot remember, lol!

        1. Well, I kind of have a weird memory….it's like I can remember the most useless stuff sometimes and forget the important stuff. Like I can usually tell you from what collection a polish came from even if it's all old. I also had that at work where I could remember every single detail of everything which would freak everyone out. I knew more about my sales people's clients than they did. I wonder why it's a superhuman selective memory thing. I wouldn't mind being like that with everything although it would probably get annoying.

I am going to fish out Ole Caliente today…hope I can find it. I'm in the midst of furiously cleaning everything because I finally feel better today. I had a stupid infection and then I got a fever and then I could barely walk. Misery! My body betrays me on the regular and here I thought it was just my brain.

  3. I like the grey as a base for nail art, etc but I don't know if I'd wear the radiant rose berry color. Haha. Idk why but that description sounds really funny to me. I've seen a lot of people talk about these on Twitter and I wanna be like, "Cynthia showed em first!" haha. I never heard of them till I saw them here.

    1. Honestly, I didn't really recognize the brand because they did a complete overhaul of everything…changed the look, bottle…all that stuff that is instantly recognizable. I do remember their old line because I always see them at the nail places I go to in the "older than dirt" polish sections. I think they've really stepped it up and have some really cool colors at a reasonable price. I really need to get the hang of twitter…and pinterest. I feel like I'm hopeless on there.

              1. I don't care for pinterest all that much. It's good for collecting ideas but not very interactive. It's cool but I don't spend that much time on it on a regular basis.

  7. I think my eyeballs just exploded looking at Class Flirt! Sorry for the weird visual, but it's sooo bright. Stirring Silver is very pretty, it's a shame the shimmer doesn't translate well onto the nail. I hate it when that happens.

    1. LOL….that was perfect! I think I'm going to steal that phrase for the next time I try a super bright color: Eyeball Exploding Bright 🙂

Yeah, the shimmer not showing up was a bummer. It's still pretty, I think. It just would have been prettier with blue shimmer.
