Hey there! How was your weekend? I didn’t do much except a bunch of laundry–which I love doing! I don’t know what it is about doing laundry that I enjoy so much. I can imagine that I might not like it as much if I had to do it for a bunch of people, but I thoroughly enjoy folding and putting away piles of warm clean clothes. Ok, I’m a weirdo. Normally I’m more of a Summer/Fall nail polish collection lover, but when I got the Zoya Calm Collection shades for Spring 2020, I thought they look particularly delicate and feminine so I figured I might end up liking them. Let’s take a look at my swatches below and then I’ll let you know what I think about the collection.

First off let me apologize for the inconsistent lighting. I don’t know what I was doing with this new lamp that I got. Ever since I moved, I don’t have a nice space where I can swatch so things have been off as I try to find a way to swatch in the limited space that I do have. I think that I definitely need to get a second lamp so that the lighting is more even. Anywho, I enjoyed swatching these shades and can definitely see myself wearing most of these. I will say that I did not find anything too “new” about this collection so I will say that I most likely have close dupes in my stash. AJ, with that delicate shimmer, is probably the most unique shade in this collection. Is it just me or are you envisioning Easter mani vibes with all these shades? The formula on all of these shades was nice: a tad on the thick side but opaque at two coats. To avoid streakiness, I applied one thin coat and floated a thicker coat followed by a coat of Seche Vite for high shine.
If you’re interested in purchasing any of these shades from the Zoya Calm Collection, you can find them on zoya.com where they retail for $10 each. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon!
