Woot! Woot! Happy Wednesday! We’re just about halfway through the week and then we have a long weekend for the 4th of July! Well, I realize not everyone has a long weekend because for many years I did not. I remember when I used to work at the airport, I basically worked every single holiday and it sucked! What didn’t suck were all the awesome flight benefits that I took advantage of regularly. For today’s post, I’m going to sharing with you a beautiful topper. Wildflower Lacquer For the Halibut 2.0 is one of those toppers that can transform just about any polish and you will want to add it to your collection. Let’s take a look at my swatches below.
I paired this topper with OPI Incognito in Sausalito (press sample) because it’s a dark–almost black–blue and I feel that flakes pop so well against a dark base. I also LOVE seeing flakes in a matte finish so I did swatches with a shiny topcoat and with a matte topcoat. I decided to apply 1 thin coat of this topper, but it can easily be built up for a more flake dense look. I think it looks amazing both ways. For The Halibut 2.0 is a topper sibling to Don’t Play Koi and it is packed with red to gold to green shifting crystal flakes and scattered holo flakes. This polish will be available on wildflowerlacquer.com on 7/2 at noon CT where it will retail for $13.00. There will be 150 bottles available with the possibility of more if it sells out.
What do you think about this topper? What is your favorite base color for a topper full of flakes? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.
Oh wow that is gorgeous and love it matte – really pops 😀
