Hello friends! I hope that you’re doing as well as can be expected in our new reality. I am doing my best to stay home and only go out once a week to get necessities, but it’s definitely hard. I know that February is a short month, but I’m still shocked that March is right around the corner. I recently got the news that my place will be ready by May 1st which means that I only have to stay at my temporary place for 2 more months. You have no idea how happy this makes me because I’ve felt displaced since December. It has definitely been rough, but I feel like I am now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I just have to wait it out for 2 more months. So that’s great new for me that has definitely put me in a much better mood–which brings me to other things that put me in good mood: pretty polish! KBShimmer Let It Beetle – PPU & IPU February 2020
You’d think that due to the holiday today, I’d be enjoying having a day off to relax; alas, I came down with a nasty cold and have just been hiding out in my den of germs for the last 5 days. I’ve been living off a combination of Nyquil, Dayquil and Theraflu which pretty much knocks me out for hours at a time. I’m not complaining since I 100% need the rest. I’m glad that I got right on swatching these items as soon as I got them because I wouldn’t be getting it done now with the way I’m feeling. KBShimmer Un-brrr-lievable – PPU & IPU December 2019
Hi all and Happy December! I hope that you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and that you survived Black Friday/Cyber Monday relatively unscathed. I had one helluva a weekend! I finally moved out of the place I had called home for eons and parted ways with my baby brother (who is 29!). He has been living with me pretty much since he was 18 so I can imagine that it will be a huge adjustment for him. On my end, as much as I love him, I was ready to push him (violently) out of the nest. My current living situation is complicated to say the least and it will be around 4-6 months before I can move in to my new permanent place. Trust me, it’s more messy than you can even begin to imagine. To top it all off, I got sick in the middle of all of this and now I’m a snot-filled mess with a cough that doesn’t let me sleep. As always, the timing is impeccably putrid. Since I don’t have much good news today, I’m just going to get to it and share my swatches of KBShimmer Un-brrr-lievable which is this month’s PPU offering. Let’s take a look! So Halloween is in a couple of days…do you have any Halloween plans? I am pretty much over Halloween and am not planning on dressing up or doing anything. Not too many kids come around my neighborhood for candy so I know that if I buy any, I will end up eating it all myself–so I won’t be buying any too much. What is your favorite candy? Happy Friday everyone! I decided to take a day off on Monday so I’m looking forward to this long weekend. I will be taking care of some stuff at home which includes doing a lot of cleaning, packing and disposing of tons of unused junk. God help me! I feel like I’ve been sleeping okay lately. I never knew that the whole waking up at 3 am every night thinf is common, did you? I googled it because I feel that I always wake up around 3:00-3:30 am which always leaves me feeling tired. I wonder if I have some sort of sleep disorder? I know that I talk a lot about the weather because it directly affects my mood, but this time I’m talking about the weather since it’s the theme for June’s Polish/Indie Pickup! I’ve pretty much caught up on my swatching obligations so I’m enjoying just wearing pretty polish for more than a day or two.
