I think that I have often mentioned that I spent a year in France as an exchange student. It was a wonderful opportunity even though I might not have entirely realized it at the time. Looking back now, one of my biggest regrets is not having traveled more. Living in Paris, I had access and time to travel so much, but I ended up not taking advantage of it. I will admit that I fell in love with Italy and ended up making multiple trips that took me from Venice to Rome. One of the places I wish I had visited is Portugal. I met quite a few Portuguese students in Paris and they were always warm, friendly and always asked me if my family was Portuguese due to my last name. I don’t have any Portuguese blood as far as I know, but I wouldn’t mind it one bit. Since I never got a chance to visit Portugal, I hope that I can one day make it so I can see the sights and definitely wander the streets of its capital: Lisbon.
