Happy Saturday and welcome to another installment of Stamping Saturdays! I can’t believe that I stayed up until like 4 am last night and then I woke up at 8:30 for no apparent reason. Now I’ve just been watching Project Runway and putting off doing the cleaning I need to do. I’ve always loved Project Runway but I still sorely miss Michael Kors. I do like Zac Posen, but Michael was in a class by himself. I was having a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do for today’s post, so I looked through my melmers and decided to use Chanel Taboo. I’ve only used this polish once since I bought it mainly because it wears like crap on me. It basically stared completely peeling off my nails the same day. Anyway, let me show you what a did for my stamped mani today.
Yes, Chanel Taboo is gorgeous. Yes, it is too expensive. No, it’s not really worth it if the brand wears poorly on you. I think that body chemistry has a lot to do with how polish wears on you so I’m sure that Chanel wears perfectly fine on other people–just not on me. I guess this is a good thing because I only have one Chanel in my collection but that doesn’t keep me from admiring others from afar. My wallet is happy.
I then used this flowery image from plate MASH 42 and Pure Ice Silver Mercedes to stamp this design. I’m feeling a little meh on this overall, but it has this laid back island feel too it that I’m kind of enjoying.
What are your plans today? It’s pretty freaking hot here today so I’m probably just going to be lazy and do some cleaning…and maybe watch a bunch of zombie stuff on Netflix. Thanks for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon!

I miss Michael Kors, love him as a designer and he was so funny on the show. I don’t care for Zac Posen at all. He’s really condescending and just rude, in my opinion.
So gorgeous! I love Taboo so much, I wish there was a dead-on dupe because I would be all over it. I only own Vamp, but for the money I find Chanel chips too quickly.
I miss MK too, but I really like Zac Posen! I think he’s drole and just brutally honest, which is what’s needed in a competition. I usually agree with his assessments.
That is one gorgeous polish. I can see all the little shimmery bits in it like tiny blue sparks. I will admire your pretty polish because I’ll never own a Chanel. Unless of course, Santa sneaks it into my stocking – which isn’t likely to happen. But yea, it is pretty on you. I really love that stamping pattern you chose.
You betch! I’ve managed to not crave Taboo up until this post. I’m sorry it doesn’t last on you, because it is frakkin’ beautiful!!!! I love the silver flowers on top too! Perfect as usual.

Ah seeing Taboo on you reminds me of how ignored mine is. I just never know what to pair it with! And I agree. I have yet to find the perfect base to go with it, because it just does not wear well on me. And I know how to apply polish. Gorgeous mani either way! I envy you got silver Mercedes. Can’t find that anywhere and it stamps like a dream!
That Pure Ice is still the best silver stamper ever! Did you feel like you blasphemed when you stamped a 1.99 polish on top of Chanel? Teehee 😉

Hahahahaha! No, but maybe now I do. Weeeeellll, since I’m not that impressed with the wear of the Chanel, I guess it wasn’t total sacrilege.

I barely slept on Saturday night, too. I know why (more on that another time), but it still sucked!
I miss Michael Kors, too. He was bitchy, but in a hilarious way. Zac is OK, but I don’t find him to be as much fun. I’ve watched every season of Project Runway except season 1 and, I dunno…I think I find this season lacking a bit.
I like this…I think it’s the metallic over a shimmer that I like. Did Taboo wear any better on you this time, or did you not wear it long enough to be able to tell?
