If you think that my only obsession is nail polish, you’ve got another thing coming. When I first started getting interested in high end make up a couple of years ago, I was hesitant to pay luxury prices for brands like Chanel, Clé de Peau, Guerlain, Dior…etc. I found my happy medium at Sephora with NARS, MUFE, Benefit, Too Faced and Urban Decay. NARS quickly became my favorite brand for two products: lip gloss and blush. I have about 16 of their blushes so it was hard to really cut it down to my absolute favorites so I could share them with you. There are two images of each blush: the first one in direct sunlight and the second in the shade.
Taos – Warm desert rose
Desire – Delicate bright pink
Deep Throat – Flirty, sheer peach
Exhibit A – Matte vivid red
Taj Mahal – Blazing burnt orange with golden shimmer
Dolce Vita – Matte dusty rose

If you’re familiar with NARS, you may notice that I left out their most iconic product: Orgasm. Orgasm was the first blush I purchased and I do like it, but I wouldn’t call it one of my favorites. These blushes are incredibly pigmented and finely milled so you have to use a light hand unless you’re purposely trying to look like a clown. I still use these blushes regularly, but I prefer some of my Benefit blushes–especially Bella Bamba.
NARS products can be purchased at many places like Sephora and narscosmetics.com, so you shouldn’t have any problems finding them if you want to try them out. They retail for $28.

Deep Throat is my favorite Nars blush. I hate Orgasm. That glitter gets eeeeeeeverywhere. Amour is also a nice one. For blush though, I really prefer Chanel. I've been bored with Nars lately. I only have a couple blushes and some eyeshadows, and I rarely use any of them. I do use the Pillow Talk lipgloss pretty often, but it annoys me that Sephora doesn't carry it!
So I'm guessing you avoid Super Orgasm like the plague. lol I don't realy want any other NARS products at the moment (except for the nail polishes, but that's a given) because I pretty much have all I want. I think maybe the only thing would be to replace my Dolce Vita lipstick that is running out. I am going to have to throw out dozens of lip glosses because I'm sure they have gone bad already. I want to cry and have been putting it off. lol
I haven't even swatched Super Orgasm because I despise glitter in face products. The only time I like glitter makeup is in nail polish haha. Shimmer in eyeshadow, yes. Glitter, noooooo. I don't even like shimmer in lip products! So when the Super Orgasm line came out, it was like my worst nightmare lol

YES, NARS BLUSHES! There are a fairly recent discovery for me. I have Orgasm and Angelica. Angelica was a pretty recent purchase…I wanted a pink, pink, pink, like Barbie pink, blush, and it is definitely that. When the salesperson first tried it on me I was like, whoa, Nelly, can you please blend that out, and then I couldn't stop looking at it, haha!
I have been intrigued by Exhibit A, but am scared of it!
Oh, gosh, me likey make-up…have since I started wearing it. Let's see. I like Urban Decay for their shadows (duh), eyeshadow primers (I use Sin nearly every day), eyeliners, and lip glosses (they have the only plumping gloss that I like). I like Smashbox for their face and eyelash primers (used every day). I like Too Faced…they have my favorite eyeshadow duo ever, Totally Toasted, my absolute go-to. I like MUFE for foundation and powder (I wear their powder every day).I also must have Dior Show mascara…this is non-negotiable.
You have excellent taste, madame! I was scared of Exhibit A but I love it now. I just have to go super light and blend the life out of it. Despite all the make up I have, my regime is usually moisturizer, concealer, blush, anastasia eyebrow powder, shu uemura curler and MUFE HD finishing powder. Oh, and Jack Black lip balm. You will think I'm crazy when you see my next post….lol It's about how I organize my make up. I need to do one on how I store my nail polish stuff too. Organization is one of my things.
I like Dior Show but my favorite mascara is Cover Girl Lash Blast. lol

I like the Lash Blast, too. I've used the orange one that has the sparkles or whatever and the purple one, which is definitely up there on my list of mascaras.
I got some Lori Greiner organizers on QVC and they've really helped me organize my make up. I love them.

I only own one blush. I'm more of a bronzer person. I'm so pale that applying blush is like navigating a minefield. I'm still learning the basics really, so all of these blushes intimidate me!
I like bronzer too. I learned how to apply make up from watching youtube tutorials. lol I think a super light blush like Benefit Dandelion or NARS Deep Throat would look really nice on you.

This post is fabulous!!! I love that you took the pictures with different lighting. I am just starting my obsession with NARS blushes. I picked up Albatross and now I can’t stop looking up swatches for my next purchase. I’m thinking Deep Throat, Sin, and Desire. Anyway, thanks again for a great post!
