Nail-Venturous Floam

Gift

The title of this post should actually be: “Why haven’t you used this polish before, you dolt?!” That is exactly how I’ve been feeling since I finally wore Nail-Venturous Floam. When Amy posted about this polish on her blog back in 2012, I was not yet familiar with the world of nail polish blogs. From time to time I would google nail polish, but I never got past seeing the google images results. When I finally started reading blogs later in the year, I was a total glitter hater. Longtime readers can vouch for my crazy hatred of glitter back in the day, but luckily I came to my senses. By the time I had a polish boner for Floam, it was pretty hard to get. Imagine how excited I was when I got this as a birthday gift from Jessica! I wanted it so bad that I didn’t want to waste it by actually using it. Don’t look at me that way: I know some of you are the same way with polishes that you treasure. I’m sure you have seen a million swatches of this polish, but it’s new to me so I’m just as excited about it as when I first got the bottle in the mail.

Nail-Venturous Floam 1Nail-Venturous Floam 2Nail-Venturous Floam 3I triple dog dare you to tell me that this polish isn’t gorgeous! It can be a little thick and difficult to work with, but I love the end result. I know that there are some dupes out there, but I am so glad to have the original. I don’t even know if this is being sold anymore because it’s out of stock on ninjapolish.com

So what do you think? Are there polishes like this that you love but are now impossible to get? I hope you have a nice day today. Thanks for catching up with me today, and I will talk to you soon!

    1. I know but then I keep thinking I’ll use it all up and then I will be sad. lol Luckily, I have enough polish that I doubt I will ever use a whole bottle up…except of base coats or top coats.

  1. Did you hear me fall off my desk chair all the way on the other side of the country? Polish Boner???? !!!!! Love it and I will be using it all the time now!!

I am dying for that damn Gargantuan Green Grape – THE BLUE ONE!! What makes me nuts about my lust for this polish, when I first started my polish problem I could not find the green version of this polish, only the blue. Now the blue is impossible to find.

    Sigh.

    1. Really? Hmmm…I think I may have seen some at one of my dusties. I’ll keep an eye out and I’ll pick one up for you if I see it. I disregarded it because I thought it had gone bad but then I read about online and forgot about it. haha

    1. I saw a good comparison post and they are slightly different. I prefer to hoard my original, but it’s a good option if you can’t get Floam.

  2. I do not own any Floam-type polishes *gasp*!
I think there will always be dupes, but sometimes it’s just fun to have the original.
    This looks great on you!

    1. It’s so gorgeous. I tried to stamp over it but it was a fail because I chose stupid images. Maybe I’ll try it for SS. When are you going to join us for SS anyway?!

  3. Polish boner <3 πŸ˜€

I don't have any huge HTF-lemmings right now but I do have a few rare ones in my stash. My most treasured ones are OPI Merry Midnight and Chanel Liquorice, both outrageously priced nowadays and almost impossible to find.

I kinda regret ever falling in love with indies, some shades are discontinued really quickly and then I get all obsessive about them which isn't easy on the wallet. I'm drooling over one particular indie atm, a glitter topper with nothing but black dots in various sizes. Thank God I can't remember the name right now or otherwise I'd be ordering it as we speak….

    1. See, that is exactly why I have a hard time really falling hard for indies. Rather, I love them but I cannot stand the whole process of restocks and fighting over stuff and getting cart-jacked. That is so much drama for me and I refuse to partake in it. If that means that I miss out on some polishes, so be it…I have enough drama in my life to let polish become drama too. I do find all the craziness amusing, though. lol

  4. Yeah, I jumped on that Salon Perfect version as soon as it came out and it settled my craving, so to speak. I do like the extra contrast in the colors for Floam but that SP made it so I don’t have to hunt it down, so that’s nice! I have a mini bottle of China Glaze Jingle All The Way and that is my delicate snow flake, I have only used it twice and the photos I took were pretty much unusable, now I’m afraid to re-swatch! I know I can probably order a replacement from Amazon or something but I like to do my nail polish shopping in person, because I am unable to delay gratification when it comes to that. I know I’m missing out!
