Are there works of art that move you? I feel so lucky that there are so many paintings, sculptures and novels that entrance me and make me believe in a higher power because surely the artist was God-touched to have created such a masterpiece. One of my favorite paintings by Botticelli is The Birth of Venus and I can confirm that the first time I saw it in person, I stood there in awe for a good 30 minutes. Let’s take a look at my swatches for Lemming Lacquer The Birth Of Venus below.
I absolutely love how glossy this polish is and that gorgeous depth due to all those flakes is just mesmerizing. This is a deep ocean blue jelly polish with a rainbow mist of iridescent flakes that include purple, blue, pink, orange and gold. The formula was rather easy to work with, but as with all jelly polishes, you will have to work with it if you have a very strong nail line. I applied 1 thin coat as my base and then I floated a thicker second coat which helped give it that lovely depth. Because I have been into mattifying errrrrything lately, I applied a matte top coat and this is what it turned into.
Excuse me while I freak out with how gorgeous this looks matte. I used the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Matte Top Coat (press sample) to create this look and I’ll definitely do a proper review next week.
I am sure that you are very familiar with The Birth Of Venus, but just in case…

Those flakes are everything. This is gorgeous with the matte top coat.
This is so beautiful and loving the iridescent flakies under the Matte top coat ♡♡
I’m interested in your Sally Hansen matte top coat review. Essie has been my go-to for a while but I am liking the new Sally H one quite a bit.
I can tell you that I love it! I have so many matte top coats and I think that this one has been my favorite by far. I’ve been mattifying everything lately because of it.
That’s really fabulous! I love it with the matte topcoat.
