When I think of KBShimmer, there are a few things that come to mind: awesome polish, amazing and fast shipping and great customer service. I also see the brand as one of the OG brands in the indie nail polish community and feel fortunate to be part of the bloggers who get to share new collections with you. Imagine my excitement when I saw the details for the KBShimmer Launch Party Collection. For KBShimmer’s 10th anniversary, they really went all out and revamped their look. I can’t wait for you to see everything!
I could not help adding a clip of one of my favorite The Office episodes of all time because it’s also called Launch Party. I so miss how funny that show was, and this episode was definitely one of the best. There is a lot to share with you so this post is picture heavy–are you ready?!
First, the packaging! Good lord they really did something beautiful from the updated logo to the boxes and it’s just sexy and sophisticated.
I know that some people don’t like change, but this is such a well thought out change that is bold and sleek. The packaging is all black with holographic foil. As far as the actual bottles are concerned, the logo will be a brushed silver. You will also see that the hand and body care section was revaped to offer 7 scents including unscented and 4 new scents. The entire product line is completely vegan and cruelty free. Now let me show you the 9 polishes that are part of the Launch Party Collection which are 8 multichrome and duochrome magnetic polishes and 1 galaxy top coat. On to the swatches!
KBShimmer You Rocket My World
KBShimmer Thrust Issues
KBShimmer No Comet
KBShimmer Orbits And Pieces
KBShimmer Let’s Do Launch
KBShimmer Just A Phase
KBShimmer Solar Flare
KBShimmer Spaced Out
KBShimmer A Star Is Formed
Let me tell you something about magnetic polish: I don’t know how to make that little line in the middle like other people do. I prefer a more diffused look which is what I did with my swatches. When you’re looking at your nails moving in person, they look like they are liquid metal moving around–seriously gorgeous. I applied 3 coats of each polish to get full opacity and they all removed easily. If you’ve never used magnetic polish, it may take some getting used to, but I think the most important thing is to hold the magnet close to the polish immediately after application because, if you let the polish dry, it won’t work. Take a look at this sort video that I did with Spaced Out and one coat of A Star Is Formed which is a galaxy holo topcoat.
Isn’t that gorgeous?! This is like a galaxy mani in two simple steps. The Launch Party Collection officially releases on 3/15/2018 and each polish will retail for $10 on kbshimmer.com. I hope that you find this as fun and exciting as I have. Let me know what you think in the comments below! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.

Yeah I’m going to need everyone of these! Love the rebranding too, clean and sleek.

I totally agree!
I am loving the new look. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into this change, unlike Cirque’s unfortunate new look. These polishes are stunning. Also, I’m really missing The Office too. It’s been on Comedy Central, so we’ve been voraciously watching. The Launch Party episode was on earlier in the week.

I seriously thought the same thing! When Cirque rebranded, it was such a let down but this new look from KBShimmer is so sleek. I love it!
Beautiful swatches. Magnetic polishes can be tricky. I was always frustrated with them because my nails are so curved. I plan to play with these next week!
I did not think of the curve factor! My nails are very curved too so maybe this is affects me being able to get the effect I want.
Oh My Glob!
RIGHT?! LOL
Absolutely stunning from start to finish! A Star is Born is the perfect base for a galaxy mani ♡♡
Isn’t it? I love it so much.
Love KB Shimmer, love your swatches, love the collection!

Thank you so much, Helena. I’m glad you like the collection.
Yup, I need this whole collex. Hopefully it’ll be around for awhile. I’ve just rediscovered magnetic polishes and all of a sudden, they’re my favorite thing ever. LOL

LOL!! Seriously the same for me. I took out my old nails inc magnetic polish (omg, i can’t believe I paid almost $20 for it back in the day) and used the wavy magnet pattern and it’s my new obsession. I’m going to try to do some nail art with that base because it looks so cool!
Oohhh I can’t wait to see!

🙂 It looks amazing. I also popped out the magnet from the wand thing and used it sideways to get the cat eye effect.
Lunch party! What if we change the U to an A? Then it would say Lanch party, Kevin. Would it really be better if it said Lanch Party?? …. Solar Flare is on the list.
Hahaha. Oh Angela!
Crap. Sigh. These are amazing! #whatnobuy
LOL…I know! It’s so hard to budget.
These are all so gorgeous and I’m digging the new look!
