Apparently I didn’t get the memo that it would be hotter than Satan’s butthole this week so I’m currently melting. It is also super windy (damn you, Santa Ana Winds!!!) so my allergies are acting up. Oh well. I should be used to this by now. I had been meaning to post my swatches of the Julie G Cruise Time Collection for Summer 2014, but I’ve just been…unmotivated to say the least. I’m trying to clear out all my backlog of posts so this was the next one on my list.
These polishes are so pretty! I know that there’s nothing “revolutionary” about them, but it’s always nice to see a good creme formula. They are all very buttery and opaque so I applied 2 coats and that was enough for all 6 polishes. My two favorites from this collection are Tahiti and Santorini–they are flippin’ gorgeous. Since I’m preparing myself for financial Armageddon, I put these up on my blog sale. SO SAD. However, knowing the amount of polish that I have, there really is no point in me keeping most of the new stuff that I buy because they will probably never see the light of day after the initial swatching.
What do you think about this collection? I think it’s super cute, and I am very impressed by the quality of these polishes. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.
Sorry that you are preparing for financial Armageddon, I’m also preparing to be in that same boat within the next year. I’ve been destashing lots of my pretties too. These swatches are so lovely, I will have to check my Rite Aid for them next time I have polish-spending money.
Thanks, Alicia. I hope we make it through this. :/ I’ll keep you in my thoughts and hope that things work out for you. Hey, I could still win the lottery! π
Gorgeous swatches! Sorry about financial armageddom. What topcoat do you use? Made the polishes that much more amazing!
Thanks, Michelle. I use Seche Vite always. π
These are some gorgeous cremes!

I totally agree!
I did get the memo about Satan’s butthole…it’s not making it any easier, lol.
Well, these look purty! I think the Groupon for these was a pretty amazing deal.
Best deal ever. This is how I got the first texture collection…which I think we all got. lol Seriously…this heat is insane.
Love these! They are my 2014 summer go to colors!
I bet they look amazing on you!
Gah, these look so pretty with your skin tone. I want basically all of them. I think my favorite is Old San Juan because I have family in Puerto Rico and loved Old San Juan when I went.

Thank you! I do tend to like these brighter colors on my tan self! π
I’ve noticed π that’s one reason I follow you – we seem to like similar polish colors and your skin tone is, though a bit darker, closer to mine than the other super fair girls I seem to follow mainly :p close enough that similar colors work, anyways.
Can’t pick a favorite, because I freakin’ love this whole damn collection! π I’m sorry to hear about “financial armageddon” but know that I’ve been thinking about you <3

I love the colours but the shipping price is horrible π

I hate it when the shipping kills the deal. π

I have mixed feelings about these polishes.. On one hand, they look like gorgeous and dreamy creme polisjes (my favorite kind), but on the other hand.. They don’t surprise me..
I’m so sad.. Have i seen so many polishes that i won’t be “wow’d” anymore.. That idea is just sad. So sad.
Sadly, that is the life of a polish fanatic. We have basically seen everything. π
