I can’t believe it’s September already. As I continue to navigate working on my health, weight loss, pandemic anxiety and all that other stuff that has us down, I have been playing with polish so much. Unfortunately, I don’t usually get past painting my nails and taking the pictures. Lately I have found the whole process of editing a couple of pictures from the dozens I took truly exhausting, but Polish Pickup never fails to get me excited to share with you guys. The theme for September is Halloween so there will be tons of fun shades and items to choose from. Today I will be sharing with you my swatches of JReine Land of The Lost which draws its inspiration from Marie Laveau. Let’s take a look at my swatches below.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been living for green polish lately. This is such a beautiful and fiery polish. The shimmer in it almost makes it look like it’s on fire. For my swatches above, I applied 3 coats to get it fully opaque. It built up nicely and without creating any bald spots.

Polish Pickup is a monthly shop that allows you to purchase from a variety of makers for a flat $3 shipping rate. The theme/inspiration is chosen a month in advance and makers will give previews of their creations in the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook group, so don’t forget to join. The shop is open every first Friday-Monday of the month and then the site is closed while orders are filled/shipped. Be aware that shipping can take about 3 weeks so be patient.
