I don’t want to utter these words just to have them come back and bite me in the ass, but I’m going to say them anyway: I think I am finally kicking the flu to the curb! I did not feel like a gremlin shit of my head when I woke up this morning so I was already feel lucky. I took a few people’s advice and I gargled with warm salt water and that really seemed to help the issues I had with phlegm. Gross, I know. Today was my first day working my regular schedule which has me starting at 5:00 am. This is quite a feat for me because I am not a morning person, but I requested these hours because I want to have time during the day to do things I love. It’s a definite trade off, but I think I will make it work.
After I left work, I ended up going to Ulta to pick up a few things like cuticle remover, some essence polishes and a new hair dryer. I also stopped by Yogurtland for my favorite treat:
I was a little surprised to see a new “Gel-like” essence top coat so I grabbed it. My Ulta also seems to be stocking a lot of essence nail art items so that’s exciting. I tried to decide which one of my new Jindie Nails polishes to try out today and I ended up going with Swoon.
When I first saw swatches of Jindie Nails Swoon, I knew that it had to be mine. I was totally in love with the milky blue base and round glitter. Once I applied it, I think I realized that the base covers up most of the beautiful glitter. I found this polish a little difficult to apply because the glitter just didn’t want to cooperate! I had to really fish for the bigger hex glitter. Despite this, I still like the look of this polish.
What do you think about Jindie Nails Swoon? Is this a polish that you would wear? Have you had enough of these milky-based polishes? I don’t think I have reached saturation point yet so I’m still enjoying them.
My giveaway for a bottle of Silly Lily Winterberry ends in about an hour, but I will have to pick a winner tomorrow after work because I’m going to try to get in bed by 8:00. I’m such an old lady! Anyway, let me know what you think about this polish. If you want to get this or any other Jindie Nails polishes, make sure that you check her etsy shop this Saturday for a restock. Thanks for stopping by and I will talk to you soon!
Swoon is gorgeous!! I don’t own too many milky-based polishes yet, so I enjoy seeing these around.
By the way, I’m glad you’re feeling better 🙂

Mmm frozen yogurt sounds soo good. Daniel took me out for frozen yogurt on valentine’s day after our romantic chipotle dinner (it was DELICIOUS!) and it was sooo yummy. I tend to go for peanut butter/chocolate type combos tho instead of this healthy fruit monstrosity I see here. :p I actually don’t own any milky based glitter polishes… well except whimsical which I guess was one of the originals, huh? Anyway, I don’t own any others and I really want some. I actually LOVE this polish with its round glitter and light blue color. I wish the glitter would cooperate tho because I’m getting a little worn out on polish that doesn’t want to behave.

It looks like you did a great job of getting it to look great – not sure I’d have the patience for digging out a ton of glitter, myself!!

Swoon looks beautiful!!!
MMMMMMM froyo…. The first time I ever had REALLY good froyo I was at the Charlotte NC airport with my boyfriend and we had an hour lay over so we ate and then randomly looked at a listing and say PINK BERRY. We never had it since the closest to us was somewhere in NYC. I only knew of Pink Berry because of Curb Your Enthusiasm where he ate Oscar’s last meal of Pink Berry lol Then he ate more Pink Berry on his flight to NY (when they did the most recent season in NYC) anyways! Lol totally off track, We decided it was was dire we got Pink Berry so we ran to the other side of the freaking airport and back just in time…it was the most delicious froyo EVER. We have one closer to us now, but not close enough to actually go yet since it’s still kind of a drive. We have other froyo places, but it’s just not the same….wow I talked a lot about froyo, I’m passionate I guess lol. I just really want some now.
Btw I used to work a 7am-4pm shift and it’s totally worth having the extra time in the day to get stuff done!
P.S. Love the polish 😛

I really like this. It reminds me of bubblegum milkshake and it is definitely something I’d wear because you know I love pastel blues!!
“Gremlin shit on your head”…HAHAHAHAHA!!! How has no one else commented on that?
5:00 a.m.? *weeps*! Although I understand the motivation behind it.
YOU GOT THAT ESSENCE GEL TOP COAT I HATE YOU! Not really. How is it?
There is a Cold Stone by my Ulta, which is dangerous. I used to live right across the street from that shopping center, and oddly enough, I don’t think I’ve had ice cream from there since I moved. I love the birthday cake remix *drool*.
I like the polish and am not quite sick of milky glitters yet, but I’m not overly excited about it. I wish the glitters didn’t sink so much, I guess. But, it’s nice.
glad you are feeling a little better! this is an old post so I am sure that I will see more updates as I go through my emails here but atleast glad that you felt some relief!! This blue is simply gorgeous! such a fun springy color!!
