Illamasqua MILF

And in my series of inappropriate polish name posts, today I have Illamasqua MILF. You all know that I love my Illamasquas and this one did not disappoint. However, I think that I got a super old bottle that had been at Sephora for eons because the bottle design is a little different AND the polish kind of smelled like poison. Despite all that, I didn’t hesitate to slather it on like nobody’s business.

Isn’t this the creamiest and most lovely mint green polish? The formula was very opaque but also kind of runny which I found very strange for Illamasqua. I actually flooded my cuticle pretty badly on the first nail I painted so I had to be very careful not to get too close with the brush. When I saw this gorgeous green, I immediately thought of blinging it up.

This is Sation Ego-friendly. *pause for ooohs and ahhhhs* I’ve worn this over dark colors, but it looks absolutely breath taking over a lighter color. I’ve been messing with polishes all afternoon, and this is the only combination I’ve actually liked. It’s like St. Patrick’s Day threw up all over my nails.

So I’m keeping this post short and sweet. I hope you liked it, and that you have a great Friday. Thanks for the visit today, and I will talk toΒ  you soon!

  1. I adore the final look. I haven’t tried wearing green polishes yet, but this manicure look is tempting me. The Sation polish takes it over the top.

    1. I like green but I am not so sure that light pastel greens look that good on me. The glitter topper really does take it to another level. πŸ™‚

  2. I slathered cream cheese on a bagel this morning like it was nobody’s business.
It’s interesting that this mint has more of a yellow undertone to it. Which means I can’t wear it, hahaha.
St. Patrick’s Day + throwing up = apt analogy.
I am discovering lately that some of these chunky glitterbombs look better over lighter colors so that they can be the star, dahling.

    1. I always wanted to put chunky glitters over dark colors and, like you, also have come to realization that lighter colors really showcase these multi-glitter toppers. I haven’t even started to think of what I will wear on my nails for st. patty’s day if anything at all. I’m not in a festive mood so maybe I’ll just drink tons of guinness and be pissed. lol

  3. Despite it smelling “like poison” it sure is pretty!!! I love the color of it alone and I really love it with the glitter over top of it. The glitter really like brightened the soft mint up! Good job like always.

    1. Thanks! I was pretty proud of this combination, to tell you the truth. I had always paired the glitter with a dark color and liked how it looked, but it really came alive with this light polish underneath.
