Buenos dias and happy Wednesday! I had an extra long 4 day weekend, but all good things must come to an end so here I am back on the grind. Today I’m showing you another super awesome polish that you unfortunately can no longer buy. I know…I know…womp womp. Over the years I have learned that in the nail polish community, you really have to jump on things right away. If you hesitate, you lose. This polish is another custom polish for the SHIMMAHS Facebook group. There isn’t too much activity in the group right now, but feel free to join so you don’t miss out. Well, let me show you some swatches of Contrary Polish Duchess before I ramble on too long.

Isn’t this a beautiful polish? Carrie from Contrary Polish is the queen of shimmers and she did not disappoint with this beauty. I didn’t do it for these swatches, but this polish also looks amazing with a matte top coat. The formula of he polish was ok. In my opinion, it could have been a little smoother and I did make note that it felt a tad thicker than my personal preference. This is not to say that the polish was problematic in any way, I just prefer a thinner consistency but can honestly say that a lot of shimmer polishes have a similar almost grainier consistency. I applied two medium coats of polish and 1 coat of Poshé for a smooth and glossy finish. I purchased this polish for $10 from Contrary Polish and although it’s no longer available for sale directly from them, I have seen it come up in destashes so don’t lose hope if you’re hoping to get your hands on this one.
