China Glaze Lite Brites Collection Summer 2016

I was totally expecting to have this review up yesterday, but it just didn’t work out. I did get all the swatching done on Saturday, but I was so pooped I had to take a break. Then on Sunday I hadย  too much going on so I just didn’t have enough time to put the post together. I know I’ve been super slow at getting content up lately, but I’m not going to apologize for it anymore. I love nail polish, but I also like having a life. Maybe I’m just a slow swatcher, but swatching a collection this big really takes a lot of time. I ended up swatching 2 12-piece collections on Saturday so between that and editing the pictures, I just did not have enough time to do more. The good news is that I still freaking love doing this but I need to have a little balance and not spend all my free time swatching so that I don’t get burned out. I’m thinking of sticking to posting 3 times a week–what do you think? Well, the awesomeness that I have for you today is the China Glaze Lite Brites Collection for Summer 2016. This collection is the perfect representation of 80’s Summers! Let me show you my swatches below and then I’ll get into the dirty deets.

Welp, these are awesome. Everything you have read online about how great these are is 10000000000% true. Before I get into it, what do you think about the addition of a third one nail macro? I don’t have a fancy camera or anything so I think the quality could be better, but I kind of like this. My cuticles weren’t in the best shape, but now I know that I need major preparation for future swatch fests. Anyway, I really loved this collection. It has a great variety of colors: some creams, some shimmers and some jelly glitters. All in all, the formula on these was absolutely great. I think that every time I hear “neons” I get a little scared because the formula on a lot of neons can be quite problematic. You will not encounter any issues with these gorgeous and bright shades. I’ll Pink To That is my new favorite hot pink–you cannot understand how bright this color is; my pictures don’t do it justice. If you’re looking for a fun Summer collection, look no further because you will love these all. Do you have any favorite shades from this collection? Let me know what you think below. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon!

  1. I enjoyed this post and re frequency/timeliness, you should do what you feel and your readers will follow! I’m a sucker for blue so the two blues here speak to me.

  2. I never think bad of bloggers who haven’t posted as regularly. I’m sure most of the pressure is just what you place on yourself. Go enjoy your weekend. Me, and lots of other readers, will still be here to read your awesome content when you get back xxx

  3. First time poster, long time follower. I LOVE the addition of the one nail macro except it makes me super jealous of your polishing skills! Thanks so much for sharing!

    1. Thank you so much, Joanie! Glad to hear from you and I’m glad you approve of the macro. I want to experiment more with macro shots.

  4. Dang it!!! These weren’t even on my radar…I was like more summer neons, probably crappy formula, whateva. And now I’m like wait a minute…momma want! *shakes fist*

    1. Doh! At least these are cheap. lol I don’t feel guilty buying a bunch of mainstreams anymore when I compare them to indie prices.

  5. I honestly didn’t even know that this collection was out…or that there was a new collection. I’m so behind on everything. They are so fun and bright though! I so need them in my life!
As per getting content up and out, I wouldn’t worry about it so much. Your life comes first for sure. This month was supposed to be the month of my “big comeback”, but there is just so much going on right now in my personal life that I just haven’t been able too. I finally managed to get a post up today, because it finally got approved but that’s about it. Don’t let it stress you out too much and just take your time. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. It seems that we end up putting the most pressure on ourselves when there is no need to. I always feel like I should be putting up more content but then end up not doing it and then I feel guilty. You are right: let’s just let the guilt go and have this be fun again. I’m glad you like the colors–I was very pleasantly surprised.
