Wildflower Lacquer PPU Rewind July 2021

Hello and happy Monday! I hope that you’re all doing well. I had some time this weekend to catch up on all my photo editing and post writing which is why you’re getting tons of swatches lately. I hate being behind on my swatching obligations, but sometimes it can’t be helped because life happens. Today I have two shades to share with you which will be available this month for Wildflower Lacquer PPU Rewind. Let’s take a look at my swatches below.

Wildflower Lacquer Cherry Smasher 2.0

The first set of 3 photos show the polish in it’s natural glossy state and I also took 3 additional photos with a matte top coat. This polish is absolutely stunning and I can see why it came back for PPU Rewind. I applied 2 coats and it was perfectly opaque due to how flake dense it is. One warning: this is a super stainer. I initiaIly swatched this polish on one bare nail and it stained terribly. Once I did a full many, I applied two coats of base coat and did not experience any staining. This beauty is definitely worth the effort. I did want to mention that this version slightly differs from the original in that this version has regular holo flakes and no holo microflakes and is more flake dense in general. This deep red jelly base is packed with red to gold to green shifting crystal flakes and scattered holo flakes and is inspired by a Cherry Coke Whiskey Smash. This polish will retail for $13.50 and will have a cap of 500 bottles. It will be available on the Polish Pick Up site from 7/2/21-7/5/21.

Wildflower Lacquer Fairy Lights 2.0

For my swatches of Fairy Lights 2.0, I also took pictures in a glossy and matte finish. I really love how it looks with a matte finish. The main difference from the original version is that different crystal flakes were used for this version but it is very similar to the original. I applied 2 coats but you can clearly still get a glimpse of my nail line. I normally really dislike VNL, but this polish is so stunning that I don’t really mind. If you really want to get rid of VNL, you could wear a solid color underneath, but I think this might take away some of the beauty of this jelly finish. This polish will be available on wildflowerlacquer.com  on7/2/21 at noon CT. It will be available for the full month of July and will retail for $13.00. Please note that the turn around time could be up to 15 business days for this polish.

If you are not familiar with PPU, let me give you some details: Polish Pickup is a monthly shop that allows you to purchase from a variety of makers for a flat $3 shipping rate. The theme/inspiration is chosen a month in advance and makers will give previews of their creations in the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook group, so don’t forget to join. The shop is open every first Friday-Monday of the month and then the site is closed while orders are filled/shipped. Be aware that shipping can take about 3 weeks so be patient.

So what do you think about these two polishes? Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.
