KBShimmer I Just Wanna Fly – PPU April 2021

Don’t telll me that you aren’t humming the Sugar Ray song right now. Although I was born in 1979 and grew up with all that 80’s goodness, I wasn’t a teen until the 90’s and that is when most of my best memories are deeply entrenched. The theme for PPU this most is the 90’s and I was so excited to see what makers would come up with. Today I am going to be sharing with you my swatches of KBShimmer I Just Wanna Fly which, along with a yummy sugar scrub, will be available for purchase this month. KBShimmer With The Band – PPU March 2021

So what is up with it being March already? One year ago we were barely moving into a bunch of lockdowns; I was living in a temporary place while I waited for my apartment to finish up some remodeling work; and I was miserable and terrified about the future. KBShimmer Enchanted Forest Collection

Last night when I was sleeping, I kicked my blanket off and slept without it. Yep, Spring is just around the corner here in California. I mean, it was in the high 70’s over the weekend so I know that the days of bundling up and wearing cozy jackets and sweaters is pretty much over. KBShimmer I Can Sea Clearly Now – PPU February 2021

Hello on this first day of February. One year ago, our lives started to turn upside down due to the pandemix and I’m sad to say that we are still on that struggle bus. I hope that things start to get better for all of us. I am hopeful but still incredibly disappointed by the behaviors I see. Anywho, I really hope that things turn around. KBShimmer Rose Glow – PPU January 2021

It’s January first and it feels like just any old day. I think that’s pretty normal for the kind of year we have had, and sadly I don’t think that things will get much better at least for another 6 months at the very least. KBShimmer Cat & Pajamas – PPU December 2020

We are nearing the end of 2020 which has been a complete disaster in my mind. It has been a year of loss and frustration and we have all had to adapt to this new “normal.” I don’t know about you, but I’m hoping and praying for things to improve soon. It is only fitting for December’s PPU theme to be “Everything is fine.” KBShimmer Cat & Pajamas is a lovely shade that I am sure you will like for those palate cleanser days but when you still need a little something extra. Hey, guess what? I’m on vacation this week which means that I am going to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the next 5 days. Actually, that sounds like all of 2020 so far, but at least I can sleep in and not worry about being late to work. I’ve been working a lot lately so I decided to take 3 days off and combine them with the Thanksgiving break. I really am going to try to enjoy this week off by doing some reading and probably some organizing of my polish. KBShimmer All The Fall Things Collection

Hi everyone! I’ve been out of the nail game lately because I came down with a nasty cold that made me super nervous. Is there anything such as a simple cold this day and age? I immediately feared that it could be COVID so I ended up talking to my doctor about it. I was tested and it came out negative, but it has been weeks that I have been feeling under the weather. I was definitely relieved that I got a negative reading, but it reminded me that we have to be very careful and protect ourselves. KBShimmer Moumantai – PPU October 2020

Excuse me, weekend…where did you go? I have to admit that the last few weeks have gone by in a blur because I am ridiculously busy at work. I love being busy, but it has also been a bit overwhelming. The good thing is that I have great colleagues to collaborate with so I know eventually things will fall into place. This week is also my birthday week! I’m turning 41 on the 22nd and it feels a little weird. I almost feel like 41 feels more real than 40–does that even make sense? I had to make an effort to swatch this weekend because I had so much to do and I hope that I can catch up this following weekend. Today I am sharing with you an awesome polish and scrub from one of my favorite brands (probably, really, my favorite brand but you know how we try not to play favorites with our polish babies!). KBShimmer Light My Fire – PPU September 2020

Day two of my lead up to PPU posts and I have some amazingness to show you. Ok, so if you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know how much I love KBShimmer so this month is no different. Not only did we get a stunning and fiery polish but we also got possibly the most amazing sugar scrub they have ever put out. I am not kidding here people…like I will buy a back up.
