Do you remember the first time that you watched Grease? I was probably 10 or 11 years old the first time that I watched it, and I remember how much I liked the story and the music. It made me want to be “older” so I could be in high school…little did I know that high school was going to be more Billy Madison than Grease. Anyway, this weekend I did a quick trip of my beauty supply stores in Little Saigon, but half of them were not open Saturday morning. It was a total bummer because I only got to check out 4 of them instead of my usual 8. Yeah, I know…boo hoo! One of the stores had the OPI Grease Collection so I ended up getting my favorite 6 shades which is what I have to show you today. Onto the swatches!

Look, if you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know how I feel about creme polishes; I freaking love them! I never (rarely) find cremes boring despite my huge collection. These polishes applied flawlessly only needing two coats for full opacity. The formula on all of them was smooth and self-levelling–the perfect OPI formula. Chills Are Multiplying is so freaking retty due to the scattered sparkly glitter that it has because it gives it some depth. The OPI Grease Collection has 6 additional shades (for a total of 12) and also comes with 3 additional specialty leather effect shades. The image below shows the full range of shades.
According to the information I’ve gathered online, this collection will be available on May 1, 2018. What do you think of this collection? I think it’s a fun way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the movie. Although some of these shades are similar to other you may have, the nostalgia may get you in the end. That sounds like a steal! I’d be a little cautious and check the seller’s feedback.

Oh yeah, I definitely think they are top notch and fully recommend them.
Although these are gorgeous and I LOVE the theme (I’m just a couple years older than you, so I was in high school when the movie came out!!), I just wish OPI had gotten a little more creative with the actual shades. Couldn’t there be more like “Chills Are Multiplying”? I checked my collection, and that is the only one for which I don’t already have a duplicate or a near-enough. Nevertheless, congrats to OPI on the theme!
I think that most people will end up picking some of these up because they are Grease themed. Grease is such a loved movie so I know the collection will sell well and fast.
