Monday is here again which brings me to a brand new batch of nail goodies to share with you. This past weekend, I swatched about 30 polishes in record time. I felt like a machine! I am really happy that I am 100% caught up on all my swatching commitments, and now I just have to worry about editing/cropping pictures and writing up the posts. I don’t know about you, but I feel like the editing and writing part of blogging is the most tedious and time consuming. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just polish your nails, take pictures and everything else would just be taken care of? Yeah, Cynthia…keep dreaming! Today I have the Night Owl Lacquer Parks and Recreation Collection to share with you in addition to two lovely Color4Nails exclusive shades. Let’s check out my swatches below.

I have just started to watch Parks and Recreation on Netflix since I never caught it on regular TV, so this collection couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m still on the first season, so I hope that some of the names of these polishes start making sense to me as I watch more episodes. Let me tell you that if you like thermals, this is the perfect collection for you. I have always been a little cautious about thermals due to their limited shelf life, but all of the ones I have purchased in the past are still stable and transition nicely. I think a lot of it has to do with how you store them; I always make sure to keep them in a dark place where the temperature is rather even. For my swatches, I used three thin coats. I found the formula a tad thicker than I am used to, but it was still fine to work with. I preferred the color build up with 3 coats because the warm state color can be rather sheer. These transitioned nicely and the tips of my nails remained in the cold shade state long after the rest of my nail had transitioned. I think all of the shades are interesting and fun but Whole-Ass One Thing and Treat. You. Self. are my absolute favorites!

Night Owl Lacquer Unicorn Aura
The shimmer in Mythical Meadows is so pretty which is why I tried to capture it by photographing the polishes in direct sunlight. Unicorn Aura is also a delicious shade with a great formula. One thing that I was not able to capture in Unicorn Aura is that besides it being a blingy holo, it also has beautiful flakies. They were a little sparse in my manicure, but the sunlight kind of washed them out. Both of these were perfect with two regular coats.
