Well, hello there friends! I am a little disappointed in myself that I didn’t post anything after my first day of work, but I had forgotten how exhausting sitting in a training class for 8 hours can be! I actually did do my nails last night with the intention of posting them, but I felt like my nail mojo just disappeared. I seriously took about 50 pictures and not a single one turned out–they all looked shit-tastic. So I just gave up. Today I got home super flustered because I had so much stuff to do–who knew that having a job again would leave me with absolutely no time at all? Ah, well…I shouldn’t complain because getting a paycheck again means I can continue to enjoy the luxuries I have become accustomed to such as a roof over my head, food in the fridge and electricity. After finishing up my laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning and preparing my lunch for tomorrow, I sat down and thought I’d give it another try. Want to know what polish I settled on? Julep Trina!
Julep Trina is an amazingly rich and saturated metallic aubergine polish. It was a little on the thick side, but it was easy to work with. I only needed two coats for these swatches. Did you hear that the Julep boxes are getting holos? I hope it’s true because you doesn’t love holos??? If you’re interested in becoming a Julep Maven for just a penny, you can use my referral link here and enter the code JULEPVIP. Yep, for a penny. Awesomeness.
I then used an image from Mash plate MASH 43 which is kind of a strange flower and vine design. I am also wowed by the polish I used for stamping: Pure Ice Silver Mercedes. I finally found a decent Pure Ice display at a new Walmart and there was ONE of these babies left. This is such an amazing polish for stamping and you seriously can’t beat the under $2 price tag!
A lot of you have asked me about my new job and what I’ll be doing. I just wanted to say that I’ve made a very conscious decision not to discuss any details about my job. I’ve heard of way too many horror stories of people getting in trouble professionally about stuff they post online. While I do tend to share–and overshare–a lot about my personal life, that will not include details about my job. This will hopefully allow me to share funny people stories about my job–with names changed to protect the clueless, of course! I should have gone to bed about an hour ago but I stayed up to watch the series finale of Private Practice, and it was even more lame than I had anticipated. This show really jumped the shark about a year ago so I’m glad it’s over.
Well, I’m heading to bed now. It’s Wednesday tomorrow so I’m almost half-way through my first week of work. Woot! Hope you have a wonderful day, and I will talk to you soon.
Disclosure: Julep Trina was provided to me by the manufacturer or their PR firm. All other products featured in this post were purchased by me. For more information, please see my disclosure policy tab here.

Hey! Have you tried the nail art society subscription box? I’m wanting to subscribe to either that one or julep but don’t know which one is better!
I actually haven’t even heard of The Nails Art Society box…hmmm…I should probably check it out. I only really have Julep and haven’t tried any other boxes but I probably will. Some of them are awesome deals.

i loved the stamping you did!
and this kind of purple is beautiful, even though i’m not into purple colors.
i understand what you mean about your job, i have a lot of people at my work following me on my other blog, on twitter, on facebook and i can’t complain about my job.. it sucks!!
are you going to share the manicures you use for your work? it is a serious job you have or something “cool” like me, an advertising agency?

Thank you! Oh my God..you have no idea how paranoid I am about this. I mean, I even went back and deleted the stuff about my co-worker’s scent. LOL I would hate for anyone to ever make the connection and then read bad stuff about my job or even go back and read all my other issues from the past. hahaha I am actually not wearing anything on my nails to work yet except for clear polish. Since I am in training, I want to err on the safe side at least until I am past my probation period. I also want to see what the rest of the office is like since it is a pretty big office and I will be in a training class for a while so I haven’t really interacted with that many people yet. So far it seems business casual–maybe a little more on the professional side. I don’t like dressing sloppy at work so that’s fine with me.

ohh.. i love dressing like a “indigente” ..
i mean, i dont wear flip flops because i have weird toes, other way, that will be my shoes everyday, but i always wear keds or toms with oversized tshirts and on friday we have the SUPER casual fridays and we can go wearing shorts.. last friday we held a bbq ;)..
well.. i guess is the best if you only keep here nice stories about your job, in this era, and more in the US, they know everything about you and they might know your blog..

I LOVE that color so much!! It was hard to tell what the base color was when I saw the FB post on my phone because of the gorgeous stamp on top, but when I actually sat down to read your post I might have started drooling over Trina! It reminds me of a UD polish from one of their mini sets. Can you think of any potential dupes in your collection?
I’m glad you liked it! The first (and only) polish that came to mind is Essie Sexy Divide but I think that one has a little more red in it. They are both super rich dark purple colors but definitely not dupes. And if I remember correctly, the Essie is a little thinner than Trina.

I looked up some swatches of that Essie polish and it looks quite blue based compared to Trina, so I might have to suck it up and get Trina haha. I will have to dig out my UD polish and swatch it for you. I do have a very good dupe in a Savvy FC color called Deep Amethyst but I’m always looking for another gorgeous purple.
Very pretty! I was happy to see your post today. It’s good that you keep work private, although I’de like to know what your doing 😉
😛 I seriously was going to post more about work but then I thought that knowing my big mouth, it would eventually blow up in my face. hahaha
LOVE THIS COLOUR!
Totally eggplanty but it is stunning and the stamp, PERFEEEEECTION!!! LOVE!
Totally get where you’re coming from about posting about your job. I’d do exactly the same hey! 100%. I’d maybe just say I got xyz position at a clothing store or book store or whatever, but no specifics!
