I feel like Illamasqua was one of my first higher end polish brand obsessions, so I am completely bummed that they are no longer easy to get a hold of since Sephora no longer carries them. At one point I could get them at Nordstrom but then they were gone from there too. I’ve caught them a few times on Hautelook, but I’ve kinda given up on searching for them when I can get other things without such a hassle. I have a pretty sizeable Illamasqua collection, and I told myself that I should start going through my untrieds. I pulled out Illamasqua Dedicate to try out today and jazzed it up with UP and some stamping. Let me show you what I came up with.
Illamasqua Dedicate
Illamasqua Dedicate (+ 1 coat Max Factor Fantasy Fire)
Illamasqua Dedicate (+1 coat of Max Factor Fantasy Fire, Konad Stamping and 1 coat Poshé)
I have always felt that Illamasqua does some of the best creme finish polishes around so this shade did not disappoint. It is so creamy and pigmented that I only needed 2 thin coats for my swatches above. I bet that I could have gotten away with 1 coat if I had made it a little thicker in application. Best of all, I did not have to top coat my polish to get that gloriously shiny finish. Now that’s what I’m talking about! Since I’ve been on a UP kick lately, I took out my revered bottle of Max Factor Fantasy Fire and applied one coat to spruce up the base color. And because I never let good things be, I did some simple stamping with an image from one of my Konad plates. I’m super MEH on the way that it turned out, but I do try to share my wins and fails with you all regardless of how bad they look. I hope that your Monday is going well and that you are nice and caffeinated for the rest of the day. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.

I am totally with you. Illamasqua was always a worthwhile splurge for me. I stocked up when Sephora discounted them out. I love the brand!
I wish I could still get them!
I like everything you did with this! I love a good creme.
Cremes are my favorite for sure.
Sadly there are too many brands I’m yet to try, but when your a polish addict on a budget you have to make do. This is beautiful ♡
It really is hard to stick to a budget, but it’s necessary!
I love how this came out! Although I always love your stamping. I still haven’t been able to get stamping to work for me, which kind of makes me feel stupid. Lol

I can’t get any of the new stamping stuff to work for me. I’m still using my konad stuff from 2011 because I can’t use the new squishy or clear stampers. It’s infuriating.

This really looks good with FF over it. I have a few Illamasqua but they are all untried still.

Maybe that’s a good thing because I’m sure you will like them and now they are hard to find.

I’ve always been a fan of Illamasqua. Dedicate is gorgeous, btw. The Fantasy Fire layer looks amazing, too.
They make the best cremes for sure! FF makes everything better. lol
