I’m hanging my head in shame as I share this information with you: I caved on my no-buy and purchased some nail polish. A few. More than a few…a lot. It all started on Saturday. I had been feeling crappy so my resolve to not buy any polish melted away. I was immediately tempted when the Cult Nails sale started. I just couldn’t pass up getting 3 polishes at 50% off. Sooooo…I bought three: Hypnotize Me, Let Me Fly and Iconic. Then later that day, I noticed that a friend had posted a $5 gift card for Sephora on my facebook. I didn’t think it was real, but it turns out that it’s a new app and it really worked. So I was just perusing the sephora site when I saw that Nails. Inc had brought back their neutrals set.
They are FOUR full size polishes that retail for $9.50 each, and this set costs $25. I didn’t really have to think too much about this so I snatched it up. The retail therapy seemed to help, BUT now I had to deal with the guilt of failing!
Then today I was over the moon when I got the news about my dog paperwork so I went completely insane and ended up buying all sorts of craziness.

Then I went to Ross and found some new Color Club sets…like I was going to pass this up. These are not labeled like the previous All About Color set so I’ve contacted Color Club to see if they can help.
And lastly, I saw a few Essie bottles at Ross for $3.49!!! When did Ross start carrying Essie? I failed to notice that these are super close to the Essies I had just purchased an hour ago. I guess I was too excited about Essie at Ross to even notice.

So, I am really annoyed with myself right now because I didn’t buy any polish for almost 2 weeks and then went out and purchased 23 bottles. Is this the ugly face of addiction? I think so.

LOL…I know. I actually do have a lot of puppy stuff already that I bought before I even knew for sure if I was going to be able to have one. I am such a tard. He already has a bed, clothes, leash/collar, toys, food/water dishes and wee wee pads. I need to buy a crate now. I'm trying not to go completely insane before I get my hands on the letter and give it to my landlady. She told me there would be a pet deposit so I have to take that into consideration too.

Ohhh myyyyy God lol. Well at least you picked really great stuff. I tried a no buy the past couple weeks and just so happens I had to buy a gift for my best friend's bday party, who happens to be a fellow addict and enabler. Sooo I turned it into an opportunity to buy polish so I bought her 10 polishes plus two sets…sooo…20 polishes >.< and the weak willed I am, of course I purchased a couple duplicates for myself. "one for me..one for you" 😛

I am just going to give up on not buying polish. I just need to become more selective as I have said many times before. If I could just slow down the number of collections that these companies put out, I'd be in better shape.

OH MY GOSH!! You didn't just give in, you went like crack addict thrown onto a pile of free crack crazy with this relapse!!! Hol-E-SHIT! Hahahahahaha… I'm torn between laughing hysterically and shitting my pants about all the polish you binged on. Ooof.. this was a big binge. I, personally, don't care how many you buy (no buy or not) but dang! Hahaha well, the good thing is you don't have to worry about that anymore, the polishes are pretty and at least you got really good deals. Too bad you (near) doubled up on those Essies, it just goes to show what a possessed buying rage you were in! 😉

I feel so dumb about the Essie dupes but I guess I can always give them to my mom. She only likes really bland colors. She doesn't even let me paint her nails…poo. I am still on a polish buying frenzy. I bought 4 Deborah Lippmann polishes because they were on super sale. And I'm filling up my cart on beauty.com because everything is 20% off and ebates gives you 13% cash back….so that's basically a 33% discount. Why meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee? I need an intervention.

Maybe you should try another tactic… "I will only buy 2 a week!" then scale it back to 1….then do one every 2 weeks, etc. Quitting cold turkey is hard! I find I'm just not excited about the colors I see lately. I dunno. I think this funk keeps me from buying things.
