I feel like a total failure today because I don’t have a manicure to share with you. I’m sorry, Nicole! First, I want to say that I was not short on ideas, but they turned into nightmares once I tried to execute them. I did three, yes three!!!, separate manicures that all looked completely disasterous. My first attempt was inspired by the Neo-Geo game Bust-a-move which I used to play with my brother all the time. How does one mess up bubbles/circles? Ugh! Then I tried my hand at doing a manicure inspired by Chrono Trigger which is my favorite RPG of all time. Huge mistake. This turned out worse than my Bust-a-move manicure. And lastly I tried to do some Tetris nails. Oh dear Fish Jesus, how could I even mess that up? I think today was just not a good nail day for me so I decided to just stop there. However, Nicole more than made up for my lack of inspiration with her awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle nails.

Today I went to my dusties because I was on the hunt for a few polishes for some lovely ladies whose birthdays are coming up. Well, I scored! Unfortunately, I also scored like 10 polishes for me. I am a failure all around today. I really hope that I don’t completely mess up on the next challenge. No matter what I come up with–disaster or not, I will post it. I may regret this statement.

I know. 🙁 I kind of did want to do mario bros nails but so many people have done them that I just wanted to try something different and of course everything I tried was a big fat fail!

hahaha! I was expecting a nail fail after the last two good manicures. I’m having a hard time with the next challenge too so maybe I will have a “what NOT to do post for tomorrow.” lol
Thanks for sharing my nails! It’s ok you had a disasticure day. It happens and is sooooo frustrating. Did you SEE my Kirby nails?? Thank fish Jesus I didn’t stick w those and had this moment of genius about the outline turtle shell nails. Now we are on to movie nails, right? I have NO clue what I’m going to do for that but I have to get them done tonight to take pics tomorrow. Wish me luck!

You know what? I thought your Kirby nails were super cute. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I was so frustrated with my nails today that everything I did looked like crap to me. My brother was looking at me like I was insane. So instead of dwelling on it, I cooked dinner and we’re gonna eat right now. lol Maybe I’ll so some swatches of two polishes I got today–new brand! Oh man…I have no idea what I am going to do for movie nails. I am going to have to write down some ideas.
Aww too bad your Bust a Move nails didn’t turn out, I would love to have seen those. One of my favorite game series 🙂

Always shameful! LOL I got so frustrated with all the ugly designs yesterday so now I’m fearing the movie nails. I’m going to start trying tonight.
