Sally Hansen Mega Strength Line

Guess what? I’m moving! I am excited and a little scared about starting the apartment hunting process, but I think that it is all for the best. I am still going to be looking in my current area and will consider moving further inland if I don’t find anything in my budget. Sometimes things happen and while they may seem negative at first, they end up being for the best. On the heels of my potentially new apartment news, I also have a new line to share with you. The Sally Hansen Mega Strength Line is hot off the presses and I have 6 shades to share with you today.

The Sally Hansen Mega Strength line is the newest formulation that claims to be their strongest formula that protect nails from cracking, peeling and breaking. I can’t substantiate these claims since I do not have any of those problems with my nails, but I can say that they wear very well! While it may seem boring to you, She-ro was my favorite shade of the 6 I have here. They all applied perfectly and the formula on all was nice, opaque and self-leveling. The only shade that required a 3rd coat was Wild card which is to be expected since it’s a chunky glitter. I think this would benefit greatly by applying it with a sponge so that you can get full coverage. Even though I applied three coats, in some areas you can see Persis-tint peeking through. This line comes in 30 different shades plus a nail strengthener and glossy top coat.

So what do you think about these shades? You can purchase them at various retailers such as CVS, Target and Walgreens where prices will vary. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon.

  1. She-Ro and Class Act are gorgeous! And if I did not enjoy your blog so much, I would surely expire of nail envy! My nails love to break and peel and generally make my life difficult!

    1. She-Ro is soooo gorgeous. In fact, I just did a pedi with that color. Since I don’t have any swatching pending, I’ll probably use it for a manicure too!

  2. The next Sally Squad should be here soon in the U.K. I’m hoping these are part of the collections as they look stunning x

  3. Did you use a base coat or was it not suggested since the nail polish is supposed to strengthen your nails and can’t get directly to the nails with a base coat? The swatches look very nice and vibrant

    1. You know, it does come with it’s own base coat and top coat and they do recommend that you use them all together. I figured since I was just going to swatch them, I wouldn’t bother with the base coat. I think that when I decide to wear one color for a while, I will try the base and top coats to see what happens.
