The Spring 2012 OPI Dutch/Holland Collection Has Landed

I was beyond happy to see that my crack dealer (beauty supply store) had the OPI Dutch/Holland Collection out on display today. I decided to get 6 of the 12 shades because those were the ones that stood out to me. There are a few others that look interesting and others that I don’t find too interesting. I will swatch the 6 shades tomorrow so check back soon! These are the colors I got:

Dutch ’Ya Just Love OPI?
Vampsterdam
Wooden Shoe Like to Know?
Gouda Gouda Two Shoes
I Don’t Give a Rotterdam!
I Have Herring Problem
I am so excited about this collection and can’t wait to try the colors out. There are so many other collections that are making me go crazy with anticipation. I am definitely looking forward to China Glaze’s Magnetix Collection as well.
Anyway, stay tuned for swatches.  Bisous mes chéris!

Essie – As Gold As It Gets

I was good yesterday and I did not purchase any of the Fingerpaints flaky topcoats. I told myself that I would NOT purchase anymore nail polish until the OPI Dutch collection and the China Glaze Hunger Games collections come out. I purchased two of the flaky topcoats from Essie’s Luxeffects collection when they first came out but haven’t really used the much. I layered As Gold As It Gets over Sephora by OPI’s Iris I Was Thinner.

Oh, Seche Vite…

I went to Disneyland yesterday and I was trying to figure out what color to paint my nails….decisions, decisions. I ended up choosing China Glaze’s For Audrey because it is one of my favorite colors. Well, something that had never happened to me before happened. The nail polish started to peel off completely off my nails!! I had heard that sometimes this can happen with Seche Vite. I love Seche Vite and always use it unless I’m doing a matte look.  It was really disappointing, and I hope it was just a fluke.  Today I am going to go look for some of the flaky Finger Paints polishes so I’ll post some swatches if I find them. The last time I went to my local Sally’s, the employee had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about these new polishes. Maybe I’ll be luckier this time around.
