Zoya Wednesday

I have way too many untried polishes. It makes me feel bad that I now have over 500 bottles of nail polish and I continue to add to my collection without having worn all the ones I already have. Wednesday is a color that I picked up during the Zoya Earth Day Promo along with another dozen or so polishes. Yeah, I know…terrible. You can’t really go wrong with Zoya most of the time.

Really beautiful and creamy, right? I’m sure there are a lot of dupes out there…Essie Turquoise & Caicos is the one that comes to mind first, but I haven’t done a side by side comparison yet. This is 3 thin coats.

Since I’m getting back into stamping with a fury, I used Konad M73 and the special black polish. I love the pigment in the black polish, but it is a huge pain to clean up. I still have staining on my skin.

Do you have Zoya Wednesday? Can you think of any other dupes? Let me know what you think!

  1. My first thought reading this: "….but it's Tuesday!"

My second thought: "Mermaid's Tears?" I think it's a bit brighter than OPI MT though, Essie T&C may lean less blue. I think you need to do a side-by-side 😉

I love this type of color. It relaxes me just to look at it.

    1. Hmmm…Mermaid's Tears could be close too. I also think these kinds of colors are relaxing.
Have you ever met someone names Wednesday? I haven't. Oh, silly Zoya. lol

  2. Aquadelic, maybe even For Audrey… probably plenty more. Who cares? I love a pretty turquoise. I don't have any zoyas tho. 🙁

Dang I love this stamp!!! Is it in 2 pieces like that or did you put down a tape line? I like it!! I also hate stamping w black because of course it gets all over your cuticles and the polish always stays on my cuticles forever!!! I'm doing black tonight to try that stamp I told you about so tomorrow my nails are probably gonna look kinda messy. Although- I'm taking a shower tonight post-polishing so that might help!! Cross your fingers for me!! Haha.

    1. I used some tape for the stamping and I should have taped off my skin as well because it was a mess afterwards.

Ooooohhh! I can't wait to see what the stamp looks like. Before I learned how to paint my nails, I used to just paint my skin, cuticles, everything and then just get in the shower and soak it off. lol I am sooo glad that I can now paint my nails and I usually don't have to do any clean up.

I hope they turn out great!!!!

      1. I totally do this. I just make a fat mess all over and then pick/rub it off in the shower the next morning. I am trying to get better about it, but I am usually in a rush and don't take the time to be careful. That's my main impediment to nail art…I never feel like i have the time to sit down and dedicate to it. Hopefully life calms the eff down so that I can!

        1. Yes…Keep Calm And Paint Your Nails. LOL

After all the tons of practice I get, I can paint my nails (both hands!) without making a huge mess. If I do make a mess, I clean up with acetone and a brush.

      2. I used to do the same thing! I was so messy, and then just like you said I'd take a shower, or do dishes, whatever and soak the excess off. I'm so much better now but I still need my little brush with some remover on it to clean up my cuticles.

        1. I am so proud of myself when I don't have to do clean up. It really makes a huge difference when you have a clean manicure without polish all over the place…maybe not so much in person in every day life, but you can't take pictures of that!

    1. Thanks so much! I just took a peek at your blog and you have the most amazing pictures ever. I love your nail client benefactor story…what a great thing for someone to do. 🙂

  5. I love Essie Turquoise and Caicos (in fact, I'm wearing it right now!) so Zoya Wednesday makes me very happy to look at. 🙂 As for dupes, maybe Nails Inc Haymarket? China Glaze For Audrey looks bluer than Wednesday, I think.

    1. I have been wanting Haymarket for ages. I always look at it when I'm at sephora but end up putting it back. I know I have similar colors already, but the formula is what I love the most when it comes to nails inc.

  6. I love this! I love these kinds of colors. Even though I have lots of them, they still suck me in! That stamp looks SUPER COOL. Kind of tribal, but also kind of like tire treads.

  9. I love this color. I've had it in my shopping cart forever! I just need to buy it already. Thanks for making the purchase easier! =) Love your blog!
