Hey there! How was your weekend? I didn’t do much except a bunch of laundry–which I love doing! I don’t know what it is about doing laundry that I enjoy so much. I can imagine that I might not like it as much if I had to do it for a bunch of people, but I thoroughly enjoy folding and putting away piles of warm clean clothes. Ok, I’m a weirdo. Normally I’m more of a Summer/Fall nail polish collection lover, but when I got the Zoya Calm Collection shades for Spring 2020, I thought they look particularly delicate and feminine so I figured I might end up liking them. Let’s take a look at my swatches below and then I’ll let you know what I think about the collection. Continue reading “Zoya Calm Collection Spring 2020”
Well hello there Cynthia-come-lately! I have a story about why I’m so late to posting this collection. Back when I swatched it, I misplaced the SD card where I had saved the pictures. Then I moved and had zero hopes about finding the SD card until this past weekend when I randomly found it in a small bag in my polish box. Yes, you read that correctly…I have a polish box. Since my move is only temporary, I could not cart all of my polish with me so I have a small shoebox with nail polish essentials. It feels weird not having all of my polish to go through when I want to do my nails, but this move has taught me a lot about wants vs. necessities. So for today’s post, I’m sharing the Zoya Sensual Collection which was their Fall release. I’m sure you’ve seen a million posts about this collection but humor me, ok? Let’s take a look at my swatches below. Continue reading “Zoya Sensual Collection Fall 2019”
I sure love rain, but I don’t like some of the problems that come with these storms. It has been raining on and off since Saturday and we keep getting flood warnings. I am going to say what everyone says: Californians don’t know how to drive in the rain. It is pretty ridiculous but I guess this is what happens when you have gorgeous weather 90% of the year. Anywho, since it was raining, I ended up doing some swatches of the Zoya Innocence Collection which arrived early. Let’s take a look at my swatches below. Continue reading “Zoya Innocence Collection”
This past weekend I lost myself in a Netflix induced coma and watched so many amazing movies. Have you seen The Innocents? It was such a heartbreaking movie, and I won’t forget it any time soon. I know it’s still a couple of months away, but I can’t wait for Captain Marvel and then Infinity War Endgame. I also wanted to report that I watched Aquaman and was thoroughly disappointed despite how much I enjoy seeing Jason Momoa. Anyway, enough about movies. Today I am sharing my swatches of the Zoya Winter Holos Trio and I hope you like them. Let’s take a look at my swatches below. Continue reading “Zoya Winter Holos Trio”
Hi all. As we get closer to Thanksgiving (OMG I STILL HAVEN’T FINISHED SHOPPING FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER), the Black Friday deals are starting to pop up. Can you believe we are so close to Christmas?! The year is just going by so quickly and I’m still wondering what happened. I love shopping online whenever I can because I cannot deal with the madness in store, so today I’m sharing some of the awesome Zoya Black Friday Deals that you can take advantage of. Continue reading “Zoya Black Friday Deals 2018”
Hello friends! How was your weekend? Thankfully I had very little to do this weekend besides my usual errands, so I caught up on a lot of shows and slept in late. Now that’s what I call the good life! The weather is nice and cools so I can’t complain about that either. For today’s post, I have the Zoya Jubilee Collection to share with you which is their Holiday offering this year. Let me show you some swatches below. Continue reading “Zoya Jubilee Collection – Holiday 2018”
Hey there! I hope your Monday is going well! I’m gearing up for a busy week, but I’m super glad that this collection came in early so I could knock out my swatches this past weekend. In fact, tracking was showing that I would get this package on Tuesday so imagine my surprise when I got it on Saturday. Sweet! The Zoya Element Collection for Fall 2018 is just the type of collection that I like. On the heels of a disappointing experience with China Glaze’s Fall Collection, I’m really satisfied with these shades. Let’s take a look at my swatches below. Continue reading “Zoya Element Collection Fall 2018”
Hello there! Long time no blog! I know I’ve been MIA for a while, but I really felt like I needed a break. It wasn’t so much about being tired of nail stuff or blogging, I was just feeling mentally and physically down. I’ve been really busy at work, which I really like, but I also find myself just exhausted and blogging is like the last thing I want to do after a long week. I have definitely still been looking at all the new stuff coming out and I have indulged a bit, so you’ll be seeing some of the new stuff soon on my blog. Today I have the latest collection from one of my favorite salon brands; the Zoya Jelly Brites collection is a trio of saturated jellies that you can wear alone or layer to create some fun combinations. Let me show you some swatches below. Continue reading “Zoya Jelly Brites”
Hi friends! I hope that you’re all doing well. Things have been a little slow on the blogging side because I’ve had a bunch of stuff going on. I haven’t been as active in doing nail stuff because of it, but I definitely won’t fall off the face of the earth again. On Friday I received a huge package that contained the Zoya Sunshine Summer 2018 Collection, and I was excited to try them out. I feel like I always mention this, but I am always excited to get my hands on lovely cremes, so I was happy to see that this is a heavy creme collection. Let me show you some swatches below before I tell you my thoughts. Continue reading “Zoya Sunshine Summer 2018 Collection”
Before I even start right now I’m going to say something: I AM SORRY FOR THE CRAPPY PICTURES. You have no idea what a mess this swatch session turned out to be. First of all, my skin looks oily AF and I decided to swatch in full sunlight. If that wasn’t enough, I also made the brilliant (yes, sarcasm) decision to use a crazy holo background which did some flashback onto my pictures. Ugh, this whole thing was a big fat NOPE. It’s been a long time since I cringed when looking at my swatches, so please forgive me because I have learned my lesson. Before I ramble on too long, let me show you my swatches of the Zoya Wanderlust Collection for Summer 2017.
The more I look at these pictures the worse I feel about them. I guess I could have just re-swatched everything but….ain’t nobody got time for that. Besides the horrible swatches, my package suffered two casualties. Two of the polishes broke during transit and they drenched most of the other polish bottles. It took me forever to clean them up. See? Everything just started out on the wrong foot.
Despite all of my swatching drama and bad pictures, I did like this collection for Summer. I did not have any significant formula issues to speak of. I am a little heavy handed with my polish application as of late so for all my swatches I used two generous coats of polish and 1 coat of glossy top coat. This collection screams fun juicy Summer colors to me, but I do feel like it’s so similar to the Summer collections that Zoya tends to put out. That’s not a bad thing, but you know you probably already have close dupes. If you’re interested in picking up any of these shades, they can be purchased on zoya.com where they retail for $10.00 each.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I will talk to you soon!
