Hello friends. Another year, another nail polish, eh? I’ve been busier than I thought I would be and I feel like polish stuff has been a little on the backburner. However, in the last few days I have been revisiting a bunch of old polishes that I really love and have really enjoyed polishing my nails just for myself. Hello polish people! I hope this post finds you well. I have been so sluggish lately, and I can’t seem to get out of this rut. I am taking a week off from my super strict exercise schedule to just relax and take care of some aches and pains. This is 42 for sure! Other than that, I am looking forward to Thanksgiving which is literally around the corner. Maybe I can take a few extra days off during the holidays and just spend the time with the fam. Hello on this first day of February. One year ago, our lives started to turn upside down due to the pandemix and I’m sad to say that we are still on that struggle bus. I hope that things start to get better for all of us. I am hopeful but still incredibly disappointed by the behaviors I see. Anywho, I really hope that things turn around. I can’t believe it’s September already. As I continue to navigate working on my health, weight loss, pandemic anxiety and all that other stuff that has us down, I have been playing with polish so much. Unfortunately, I don’t usually get past painting my nails and taking the pictures. Lately I have found the whole process of editing a couple of pictures from the dozens I took truly exhausting, but Polish Pickup never fails to get me excited to share with you guys. Ugh…here I go making excuses as to why I haven’t posted in a month. Well, you may know that I moved into my new apartment on 5/1 so it’s been really hectic. I pretty much moved on my own and it sucked. Since I moved during a difficult time, deliveries of things like furniture took much longer than expected. In fact, I just received the last of my big furniture orders. I do have my bed (which I had to get replaced since it was damaged during delivery) but I have almost everything else. I haven’t been able to really do the small things like decorative touches, but that’s not really a priority right now. As far as polish is concerned, I still have most of my pretties in storage while I wait to set up my Herlmers. Anywho, today I wanted to share a deliciously shifty polish and sugar scrub. You’d think that due to the holiday today, I’d be enjoying having a day off to relax; alas, I came down with a nasty cold and have just been hiding out in my den of germs for the last 5 days. I’ve been living off a combination of Nyquil, Dayquil and Theraflu which pretty much knocks me out for hours at a time. I’m not complaining since I 100% need the rest. I’m glad that I got right on swatching these items as soon as I got them because I wouldn’t be getting it done now with the way I’m feeling.
